This game is atrocious. How in the world do you manage to have offline modes lag just as bad as online and the pitchers in moments will dot corners on rookie or flat out walk you. SDS should surrender the MLB license and do the right thing. They are not capable nor do they have the skills to make a good baseball game.
Still better then EA
is it though mate?
you can download FIFA 2022 for free, play with your friends, $0 need to be spent to play all of the teams - several of the modes are solid
look at SDS 2022 - the game is falling apart trying to appease all types of system users
This may come off sounding condescending. I don't mean it to. I apologize if it does.
It's soccer for an American audience. No thank you.
They screwed up the first football game that resonated with fans and gamers. I'm both and loved the game from Madden 92 on my genesis until 19 or 20 when I was so fed up with pay to win I couldn't do it anymore. Add that to a customer service team that was known to call you a liar and hang up on you for not getting stuff you grinded or paid for.
I have always been a football and baseball fan. I want to play the sports I love without the headaches from the company I loathe. From everything I've seen from 2K, EA, and SDS, I'll take SDS every time. I actually see the changes that people ask for in this forum. EA's answer is to have you tickle their sack while they do what they want, then be happy that you have to spend $300 a week to stay competitive. There are two types of EA players: Those that hate them and people that just started playing.
If you love your sport, there's a good chance EA will change your opinion of it. I never missed a game during the NFL season. Sundays I'd wake up at 9 am for kickoff at 9:30. Watch three full games on Sunday and one on Monday. Even started watching on Thursday when that started. I can't even watch it anymore. I hear 2K is supposed to be coming out with an arcade style Football game. I'll get it. I hope it brings back my want of the game.
This year, I got MLB.TV for the first time and I watched every game I could find last year. I haven't done that in a decade. The MLB is exciting again. SDS did that. I tried NBA 2K and basketball just isn't my sport. Basketball and Soccer, to me, is just running around for an hour. I was thinking about getting PES a few years ago, but thought better of it. Considering it's not around anymore, I made the right choice.
Just out of curiosity, how far into FIFA season is it? Pure speculation is that it's almost over. Probably trying get some more victims before the new one comes out. It's marketing, so I don't begrudge them that.
Looked it up. End of September. So a little later than I thought. Four months. If they are anything like Madden, it's only one month of real content. Then something similar to the 10th/11th inning program for the next two months.
This is why I agree with the statement. "Still better than EA."
Lol I know it sounds crazy, but believe it or not it’s changed a bit in the last 12 years. I’m sure on some other forum misinformed EA fans say “I played Diamond Dynasty on MLB 12 and it was all made up players” sounds kinda dumb.
Curious on your response on this, because I don't necessarily disagree with the statement on people confusing a good game with liking baseball, because I'm sure that's true for some people.
What is to stop that from being applied to FIFA or Madden? Why can't I just dismiss people liking those games and by extension thinking they are good by saying that?
You’re kind of arguing my other comment but quoting this one but either way I’m simply talking about the “pay to win” stuff that gets thrown around a lot by people that haven’t played any of the EA games in a decade. I played Fifa 12 UT which was the second year existed. I’ve actually played every sports UT for over a decade.
Back then, there were no rewards, no missions, no Ranked Season, No FUT champs, no Icon swaps, no squad battles, no anything. You got about 1,000 coins a game and that’s it. If you play UT now, you earn about 300,000 a week plus all the packs and free players it gives. They have insane packs you can earn that are not even available for purchase in the store just like MLB. It’s very different, the same way this is VERY different than Diamond Dynasties origin.
But yeah I would argue both games are pretty bad gameplay wise. I like sports so I play them for fun, yet neither is very competitive, Fifa pros talk about how none of them “enjoy” the game. It doesn’t mean you need to spend $2,000 on Fifa points. My 99 Pele was free. Same with my Cruyff Maradona Maldini Vieira Gerrard Ronald the other Ronaldo, Messi, Mbappe the list goes on and on. NickRunTheMarket has 200,000,000 coins because he trades. The coins/packs/players are there the UTs just work in different ways.
