    Newbie Help

Newbie here and I have some probably really dumb questions. I used to play the show a few years ago and can't seem to figure some things out on 22. Any help with these is greatly appreciated

1 - Pitching - How do I see where my pitch is supposed to end up before I throw it? There used to be a pitch setting where the icon showed you the intended destination for the pitch, but the accuracy would depend on fatigue, motion, etc. When I throw any form of movement pitch, I feel like I'm guessing where it will end up.

2 - My Roster - I have a ton of cards that I want to sell, but I can't find a quick way to view only the cards I own. The only thing I can find is the binders that show every team, and then scroll to the ones in color. There has to be an easier way to just look at my owned cards and then auction them, right?

3 - Suggestions for lower cards - I have a ton of useless sub 80 cards that have almost no auction value. What's the best use for them?

4 - Non-auctionable cards - If they aren't good enough for my lineup, what's the best use for them?

5 - Signature Cards - There's a mid 90's Mike Mussina signature card, but I can't find him in the auction house nor a way to get him from any collections. Where would I find him?

6 - Earning Points - What's the best way to get points/packs/improve your team? If you want to get any of these 100k and up cards, how do you really do that without just buying points?

7 - Online H2H - Anyone else notice any lag at the moment you swing the bat? I'm very new to the game so I know my skill is low, but I'm getting crushed online. Everyone is hitting them out of the park against me, but there's this odd delay when I swing. This happening to anyone else?

8 - Strategy Cards - How do these work? Are they worth a [censored]?

9 - Card Ratings - I see that some cards improve based upon how the player is performing. Right now Staunton on the Yankees is only an 80, even though he is having a good season. Will they release another version of his card or do I just hope they adjust the one that is out?

Thank you so much to anyone who takes the time to answer any of these. I really do appreciate it.

Will they re-release cards from older programs?

I’m one of those players who does all of the collections, regardless of the reward. I started the game at the end of May, and clearly missed some monthly programs. Now, some of these 80-84 rated cards are over 100k because they aren’t in packs (at least I don’t think).

I want to get Mickey Mantle, but can’t afford the prices of these older cards, especially considering how many of them there are.

I’m about 20 cards from being done with Rollins, but Mantle looks to be too much.

Any idea if they usually will bring those cards back out? No matter what, I’ve learned my lesson for next year. Hold all cards beyond collection as their price will skyrocket eventually

RE: Why is Trout so expensive?

I've had LS done since about 2 weeks after release, but I've pulled Trout twice in the past several days. Weird to see purple lights with him. Thought I had pulled FotF Trout the first time...

Anyways, with his price remaining high, I've basically been able to buy almost everything I didn't have.

That's 3 Trouts and 5 Acunas this year. Apologies to everyone whose atrocious luck is offsetting mine in order to maintain balance in the MLBTS cosmos.

Are you buying packs? I haven’t pulled a single Diamond and opened over 100 packs

Wow, that's actually really annoying. They just devalued that collection immensely. Granted, it wasn't hard to complete anymore, but still....

    @CookieMonster64_NSW @The-Harvest_XBL

    I'm confused by your replies.

Maybe it was the way that I posted. But if nobody had Sig Randy by now, how does the mean they will get him?

By collections I mean that you get 50K in XP for locking him in under the Collections Tab in the Main Programs Directory. Like how you got XP for locking in each of the Extreme Reward players.

Ah, gotcha. I thought they were just giving him out for 50k XP

RE: Anyone done with the game looking to Donate Cards/Stubs?

@kovz88_MLBTS said in Anyone done with the game looking to Donate Cards/Stubs?:

Unfortunately there is no way for people to do this. Cards get sold to the highest bidder/first in line so no one will be able to sell you anything for low.

While that sucks, I like they have that system in place. Madden gets out of hand with farm accounts. I guess I didn’t realize there wasn’t a trading system.

    Thanks for the heads up

There are ways people with excessive stubs can help you flip cards.

    How?

Finally finished!! All programs and Mantle!!

I admit, I didn’t complete the Finest collection, but I did complete every other program and collection. It’s kind of bittersweet, because there’s nothing left to play for. But it was a fun grind and can’t wait to start 23. I started 22 late, which made some of those collections too expensive.

Question. Some cards for the older collections have a max sell price of 5k. How do you know which cards have those caps? I plan on storing some cards for later sale next game, but don’t know which ones will end up being valuable.

I managed to get Rollins finally, but given the price of the cards I'd need to get Mantle, I gave up on that. I hope there's some kind of limit on prices in 23 that doesn't make getting these cards impossible. Having a lot of cards attainable only through BR and Events is really unfair if you don't play them that much or at all. The rewards should be attainable no matter how you play, not just through one specific avenue.

Buy them earlier. All the Bronze, Silver, and Gold BR rewards were at or around quick sale value UNTIL Brett dropped.

If you invest in these cards early; they will practically pay for the others.

Before the Forever Event dropped, the Silver Mathews, Britton, etc were all under 100 stubs each.

If you bought 50 of them, even at 100 stubs each and sat on them until Brett came out, or even longer, you made a killing when you sold them off.

How do you know which ones are going to go up in value? Or do you just keep them all?

I'd say half of the earlier program cards go for 5k or less, while the other half are 200k and higher.

I plan to save cards as well, but I also want to buy up the ones that will go up in value.

    Thoughts?

The earlier program ones normally go up, when the first collection is announced, and crash once the Forever Program is released.

Typically anything that can't be earned by packs, or are in limited pack, are worth stocking. So I'd they do the programs the same in 23 as they did with 22; anything you can earn in the reward path of a program, that can be bought, should be stockpiled if you can afford to do it.

The Bronze, Silver, and Gold BR cards are usually at a premium until they start showing back up in rewind packs. Same for any BR Diamond reward and any Event rewards.

    Makes sense. Thank you

Hitting seem a little harder this year, homeruns?

I’m really struggling with the showdowns so far. I can’t seem to hit homeruns or get much going. The showdowns give you teams with 90 and up players; so they are good enough. I just can’t seem to beat them.

    Anyone else feeling it?

RE: What's everyone's plan for DD?

@dap1234567890 said in What's everyone's plan for DD?:

Right now, I'm working on the WBC program. I'm at 208⭐ of 250⭐. I am waiting to do the final showdown of the WBC Showdown, have all but one WBC Moments done, six WBC missions left and already completed the WBC Conquest map.

Starter Program, Starter Showdown, and Batter Up Conquests maps are completed, so after WBC, I'll be headed back to the TA Program stuff. The West TA Conquest map is done and I am sitting at 33% completed for ALW, 16% for NLW, 3% of ALE and 0% for the other three divisions. I am close to 150K ⭐ on the Season 1 XP Reward Path.

I had recreated the uniforms and the stadium for the Single A team from my hometown where I grew up. I think this stadium turned out nicer than my first try two years ago in MLBTS 21.

So, my plan for DD is to continue to grind the "Grind 99"!

    What’s your coin stack at?

Finished the WBC program and got all TA divisions to about 35000, gonna run through Negro League Storylines next to unlock all of those cards.

Does completing the Negro league stuff give you cards in DD?

I just did the Jackie Robinson story. You get a few packs and a 90 overall Jackie Robinson card for DD. They were fairly easy quests.

If you complete all the storylines, you get a 95 overall card. Not bad for a starter team

What happens at the end of the season?

I'm still confused on the seasons. Are there cards that will be in my binder that will disappear once the season is over, or will they just be no longer available for the rest of the year to acquire?

    Day 0 Questions

I was a little confused on some of the prerelease videos, and I’m trying to play the game thinking long term.

1 - Is it true that you lose access to some players every few months within the “seasons?”

2 - Which cards should I be storing until later, knowing they will shoot up in price.

3 - What is this “wild card” thing? I saw the tutorial, but I don’t see where the slot is or what it really does.
