@sbchamps17_NSW oh you’re right I actually meant to add him at the end but forgot that part. I was gonna say Pete Rose is the captain card that boosts everyone in this series. ️ my bad.

@BLAISEBLAISE_PSN
Yea I guess so, not sure who? Maybe Tucupita? -
This wouldn’t happen but I think it would be really fun if SDS made a Banned/Suspended Series with cards who were banned from baseball or served a suspension.
The players I’ve thought of are:
Shoeless Joe Jackson
Barry Bonds
Roger Clemens
Manny Ramirez
Edison Vólquez
Miguel Tejada
Alex Rodriguez
Ervin Santana
Dee Gordon
Robinson Cano
Frankie Montas
Nelson Cruz
Carlos Ruiz
Bartolo Colón
Melky Cabrera
There’s even some players who are still in MLB:
Jorge Polanco
Yasmani Grandal
Starling Marte
Ramón Laureano
Fernando Tatis Jr. -
If you get the companion app then you can put in an order on there & just keep tapping like place order over & over instead of having to retype the amount on the game system.
-
@BJDUBBYAH you’re missing the point, I don’t want to earn the same card twice, I’d rather another new card be introduced then having to get wins for players I’ve already grinded to earn. There’s so many other packs they could put in there that would benefit us for collections more. We have to collect 400 cards in the season and they’re giving us duplicates.
-
Hello SDS, posting this in hopes that one of your devs reads it and takes my feedback into consideration. The events choice packs are non-sellable, and for all of the people who earned the cards in their original event and then collected them, this becomes earning a duplicate card which makes it an insignificant and pretty frustrating reward. I’d rather see a somewhat longer event program maybe 50 wins with the top player at the end and there being two other players at say 15 and 30. It would make the top card more rare because you have to grind for it and it would lead to more stubs/rewards for the effort plus an extra card to collect. The other easy option would be to make them sellable but then everyone will sell them so that’s like 5k profit each time and I’m not very interested in that, if you did other choice packs in there though that would be better. Even if it’s a non-sellable classics pack or season awards or something that came from the shop then that would give me more excitement because I know it’ll be something new to me not something I’ve already earned. Old chase packs would be really cool literally anything could be better than what it currently is.
-
@sbchamps17 I was confused about it also but then the manager said that it was because they plan on facing a lot of righty’s in the next few weeks and those would be days he wouldn’t start so instead of him riding the bench and losing the hot hand they’re letting him fine tune himself in AAA so expect him back up with the next injury or in a month.
-
It’s definitely worth continuing. There’s still 60 days left of the season, plenty of time to get to the bosses even if you just were to start now. You’re gonna want to grind out some of those mini seasons/conquest maps though cause they made it harder to get XP from just playing online and there’s a cap per day of how much you can get from just playing so xp rewards in other places are more beneficial now.
-
@X-FREEZE-OFF-X you can get repeatable points for earning xp from players in the program so I used Ketel a lot & Billy once I got him. I just checked & I did 7 moments, then the Marte & Wagner missions along with the xp missions at the bottom & then the repeatable one until I finished it.
-
I started the game late so I’m just now getting to my first set 2 collection, leaning towards David Wright to replace Jose Ramirez at 3B but I always love having Hank so I just want opinions on if Wright is the best choice or if using Aaron at DH over my Extreme Griffey/MVP Soler platoon I currently use would be better. Thanks!

Yep im having issues now! It's kicking me all the time
That’s tough, but glad to see it’s not just me haha, I’m thinking that maybe the maintenance is still technically being worked on so the server is glitchy or something but all I know is the game is unplayable at the moment. Now I’m logging in & instantly being kicked out yet my internet is working great for anything else.
-
I was kicked out of a ranked game for routine maintenance, now since it’s been finished I’ve been kicked offline another half dozen times randomly. It was happening while I was looking at cards first then while I was simming conquest games so I restarted my PS4 & it worked long enough for me to do all of the new showdown until it kicked me off while loading up the final matchup against Wood & when I came back it counted as a loss. Very frustrating to lose that progress, my internet speed is at 40mbps & it’s not kicking me off the internet just out of DD sayng I lost connection to the show servers so if someone at SDS could look into this it would be greatly appreciated.

He’s the card in the chase pack, so you’ll have to buy a 50 pack bundle to get one pack to try for him, or get lucky finding one in a normal pack.
No Chase pack luck for this guy!
I just don’t spend my stubs on chasing them, for the most part it just doesn’t seem worth it unless it’s your favorite player. I watched someone on YouTube open over a million stubs worth of 50 bundles trying to get Elly & I don’t even think he got a single 90+ overall.

I was in a very intense game that I hit a 3 run bomb in to take a 5-2 lead in extra innings, & then shortly after the game said I lost connection to the opponent making me think he rage quit. Instead it was actually the server kicking me and handing me the L. I have proof I am trying to link it on here, so disappointing after grinding for an hour to win that game.
-
I was playing until about 5:40 est and then I got off and waited until they were done with the maintenance and then got back on just now, but the server kicked me off when I was up 3-0 in the 5th inning of a ranked game and said they were undergoing routine maintenance. I guess they forgot something and had to go back in to edit it again?

He’s possibly going to be the only player ever to win the Mvp, Cy young award, Silver slugger, and depending on how Vladdy & Salvy’s seasons end, even possibly the Hank Aaron award. You say a triple crown is impressive, then how about a full award sweep? That’s not the most impressive single season ever to you? & not the best player on his team? Sure, let me see Trout try to hit 50 homers, with 25 swiped bags, and an 11-2 record with a sub 3 ERA against today’s American League. Ohtani would crush trout if he pitched to him, & I bet Trout prays that he never has to hit against Ohtani. Besides Ohtani is younger than trout so he even has more potential to achieve a better season compared to Trout. I love Mike Trout but he’s not the same as Ohtani, Trout is a talent of the decade and will forever be remembered for his quick ascension to greatness. As for Shohei, he’s a generational talent, like a Babe Ruth or Willie Mays. There’s only one that can do what he does, to the full extent of what he does, as great as he does it. & there won’t be another man to recreate his season until your great grandkids have grandkids.
Ohtani will not win Cy Young and I also won’t be telling my grandkids about Ohtani either
Haha then you’re not a true baseball fan, you don’t appreciate his talent.

Trout isn’t a generational talent? I’ll be shocked if ohtani ever has a 10 fWAR season, which trout has two of. I doubt ohtani ever even gets a 9 fWAR season, of which trout has 5.
Sure, ohtani is pitching and hitting. He’s putting up value like every other major leaguer, just in a unique way. At the end of the day though, value is value, and he will never be as statistically valuable as mike trout.
And it’s far from guaranteed that ohtani will be able to do what he’s been doing for years to come anyways. He’s already had some injury history, and it’s not like he’s 21 either. We’ll see how long his body will be able to keep up with both pitching and hitting.
Awards don’t determine whether one season is better than another, statistics do. And statistically, ohtani isn’t even close to trout’s top 7 seasons. Doing something differently doesn’t mean it’s better.
Not even close? Come on bro, most homers Trout’s had in a season is 45 and Ohtani is about to pass that easily. That same season Trout had 27 doubles, 2 Triples & 104 RBI’s with 11 SB. Ohtani will do better than all of that this season. Not to mention he’s also pitched every 5 days and only lost ONCE this year. Trout has never had one single season with 30+ homers, 100+ RBI & 30 SB, however Ohtani has a chance to have 50+ Homers, 100+RBI’s & 30 SB if he gets enough opportunities. Like I said, I love Trout and he had an amazing first decade, but there’s tons of legends like Lou Gehrig whose careers weren’t completed properly, & I already see that happening to Trout as he becomes older and more injury prone. I’m also not Saying that Ohtani is going to do this every season for the rest of mankind, I said this will go down as the best overall single season by a player in baseball history. There’s no telling what the future holds for him but he has the potential to get even better, let’s give a 5 year wait on Ohtani & Trout then we can come back and compare those seasons to see who is currently playing at a higher level. Watch Ohtani become a 20 game winner with a sub 3 ERA, 40 bombs and 120RBI’s then try to tell me that Trout is more of a generational talent. Acuña’s stats look a whole lot like a young trout, so it didn’t take long to get another Talent like him.
Like I said, ohtani will never have a 10 fWAR season, let alone two of them like trout. Ohtani currently has 7.2 fWAR from pitching and hitting combined. Unless he goes on an incredible hot streak for the rest of the month, he won’t get to 8 fWAR. There’s been many, many non-combined seasons that are better than that. This season isn’t even close to the best all time statistically.
As far as hitting goes, ohtani’s 154 wRC+ is extremely good, but trout has never had below 160 wRC+ in a season for his entire career (other than his 40 game 2011 season).
At the end of the day, ohtani is just putting up value in a unique way. However, being unique doesn’t mean it’s better. 10 fWAR will always be better than the 7-7.5 ohtani likely finishes the season with. Just because he got that value in a different way doesn’t mean it’s somehow a better season.
There’s really no simpler way to explain it, so there’s nothing more to be said.
Yes there is more to be said sir, you are just out of rebuttals. As Chuck said, WAR shouldn’t be focused on when you’re talking about how good a season was because that only compares you to the average replacement at that specific position. So for one, cool Trout is a lot better than the other CF’s in the 2010’s, not a big surprise it’s been about RF’s this decade other than trout and now acuña. & WAR doesn’t account for Ohtani’s efficiency because he has to cover the comparison of 2 positions. For example, since he’s a starter his “replacement,” would be considered a healthy guy that gets his 30 starts in + his replacement would also be your average DH, so it’s just statistically unlikely to out perform 2 replacements at the same time compared to Trout only having to outperform his CF replacement. Because of this WAR is quickly becoming an obsolete stat in baseball and we are soon going to have a better way to grade a players efficiency and success, starting with finding the proper way to adjust a two way player like Ohtani to a Star like Trout. I’m my opinion, Ohtani gets injured and you need 2 maybe 3 people to fill his spot. However without Trout, they’re actually doing pretty similar to what they do with him and all’s they did was call up some minor leaguers. (Adell & Marsh) I’m not trying to downplay Trout’s seasons, I have repeatedly said that he’s amazing. I just think what Ohtani can do is more impressive, athletic, skillful, talented, and it’s just downright ridiculous. It’s a blessing and a pleasure every time he pitches, I’ve tuned in to every start this year and I’m super excited about tonight against the Astros! Stros are my favorite team so this one looks like it could be a game of the year. & honestly I think Trout is gonna play too!!!

Does anyone know if you’ll have to complete all the other TA seasons to do the last one or will it be open immediately like they have been? I’m just curious with these seeming like 20-30 possible end game cards coming out will they make it a little more difficult to get them somehow?
