So here's my angle,
At peak gameplay the game is incredibly fun to me. Baseball at its core is incredibly fun. Deck building and coming up with unique combos is incredibly fun.
But the game is unpolished, plays pretty [censored] bad and unbalanced, co-op is shot to hell, sets have ruined my desire to play ranked, grinding is horrible and brain rottingly repetitive. They said they fixed foul balls but I swear any time I play ranked every other batter is going 10 pitches because they keep making light contact with dirt balls instead of swinging an missing. Perfect perfects from me keep getting shot into an infielders glove.
If you don't like that they remove the ability for you to keep using the cards you grinded for. "yOu CaN plAY oThER MoDEs!" No. No you can't. Ranked is almost the only game mode that consistently gives decent XP. You can't play with your friends without running into a freeze off. It's atrocious

I've ranted before and there is a lot to hate about the game and honestly it's not like I'm really enjoying that much. I just play it cause it's something to play a couple games of and be done. I play almost only casual cause it's the only mode that doesn't feel like absolute [censored] playing but you don't get [censored] for playing it.

Idk. I don't really encourage people play ranked. I think sets is horrible idea on a dying game. I also don't play offline. I don't find any desire to play a competitive game against bots. Especially one that's so [censored] repetitive as this. The grind is real and it's not fun.

I have a Core deck built for when the season resets but I might just not even play because I'm not going into ranked with an 84 overall rated team using free bottom of the barrel cards from storyline moments and cheap core cards while all the sweats get to use their Babe Ruth's, Willie Mays, and Jon Donaldson's.
Nah. I'll stick to real video games like Balders Gate or GTA. Games made by actual developers that actually do their jobs when their games are struggling.

@xElRojo44x- it's amazing how even the biggest supporters of SDS just don't want people playing this game or for the game to improve. The enjoy when people are frustrated with reasonable issues and encourage them to leave. This fanbase is pretty horrible.

I agree and I'm glad he said what he said. These issues are real and when you come here to voice your frustrations you get gaslit and mocked into oblivion. I'm happy Kyle made this video and I hope it helps this toxic community understand it's not just skill and bad play. It's frustrating to run into these issues. Sometimes the player is bad yes but these gameplay issues are REAL!

Offline MLB players - The Show is the same game over and over every year. We need new game modes...theres nothing to do.

People will literally only play it for dynasty mode like they did 10 years ago, which by the way, makes RTTS look like garbage. The ultimate team garbage can kick rocks for all I care.

So basically you're buying a 10 year old game with updated graphics. Sounds like a revolutionary game.

I've never owned Babe and I honestly didn't even think I'd EVER get him with how much time I can truly offer this game.

There will always be an exploit in this game. I'm not saying I support this "cheat" but it's not game breaking and it's not a hack by a mod or third party PC influence that affects input. It doesn't bother me people can glitch captains. I never cared if a captain was on the bench and I don't think your captains needs to be a starter the give the boost. I think the "glitch" in this case should be the standard. If the captain is on the team it doesn't matter if he's on the bench. Pitch hitters are a legit strategy if used correctly.

Real cheating on Xbox is an actual problem.

I'm happy for you you've never experienced these issues. Id say that's some luck I would want to have cause it's seriously done damage on my love for this franchise just as it has many others. @chucky97___ There's no such thing as "no money spent". You paid $80 and a subscription fee to play this game. The fact we have to say "no money spent" when we really mean "I didnt buy stubs" is pretty [censored] gross defense for predatory game developer's actions.

@Wildthingwilly SDS doesn't have devs. They have marketers and some people who made an app for Android Gingerbread.
The problems we have can't be corrected with one thing like "needs to be all next gen consoles" or "it's cross play that's the problem". Other games do just fine with old gen and cross platform play even across to PC/Steam. So it's not a platform issue.
It's critical programing of the game that these SDS marketers can't and won't fix. Until they stop making money from stubs they won't do a [censored] thing.

I have no intention to play S2 at all. I literally just got Posada from a [censored] freeze off. Went 8 [censored] innings winning 3-1 then bam freeze off. Still got the Posada reward I legit thought I'd never see.

I am too attached to my cards and obsessed with deck building. I will be making another post soon about my recent build that isn't compatible with S2 or wildcards in anyway. I fully intend to play casual and any other mode that allows me to use my very modified decks.

I don't want to stop playing and the deck building is by far my favorite aspect of the game. I honestly spend more time building and looking at attributes with captains than I do playing these past few nights.

@MRAD2010_XBL it would be nice if The Show wasn't a different game every year but one live service game wit roster updates and seasons.
Being able to play with all these different variations would make more sense. Instead we cram pack all these metas into a few months in one year of a game.
