Legends and Flashbacks collections

Is this also the worst card art ever for a meta collection card?
-
@rubicante23_PSN I get that. Thus, my laugh. I play online too, but I don't field a full meta squad. I like to only collect players I loved historically, while I was growing up to the present day. I have zero affinity for the Cubs or Zobrist. For me, it would be a card collecting dust. Once again, it looks great... but man... I don't care if I never get it. Mantle on the other hand.... I want that one. LOL. This helps me make my choice to sell off everything and get him.

Isn’t that guy whose wife stepped out on him so he quit baseball? But he’s a switch hitter. Now it makes sense.
-
At least they could've finally given the Tampa Rays fans some love....since he is, like, one of their most iconic players. And like the 255th most iconic Cub
-
@WolfgangMLB_XBL don’t say that SDS will take it as a challenge
-
I just got Ben and still have 328K for the future.
Postseason is the only collection besides the new ones I haven’t completed but I don’t want to blow all my bank on Lance. I want to thank you all because I was completely prepared for this collection. Your overall general input and direct responses was/were/are. money. Good luck…and, no, I still haven’t made the plunge to online play even though I’m hanging tough on HOF vs. the CPU. Happy Hunting. Thank you, Rick -
Legit never felt less enthusiasm about finishing a legends and flashbacks collection.
Card art is horrendous, too.
What has become of this game?
-
Mailed in laziness in many ways. Something also feels off after this drop as these power hitters are getting terrible exit velocities and ball carry. Almost like they don’t want us to get those home run missions done too quickly. The game just feels off more than usual and the card art is a copy paste job from last year.

I can understand that. A .266 lifetime hitter who hit like 167 HRs total.
But going by attributes only he is now the top rated player in the game, just beating out Beltran.

The card art by itself is extremely underwhelming. Ben Zobrist?!? I dont get it. I really don't. He shouldn't be a top collection piece. Only legends which is in the title should be top collection pieces. Not a video game meta player and if he wasn't a switch hitter nobody would care for him.
If they were going to go with a meta switch hitter..... how about , say ,Chipper Jones.

I know I’m an outlier and I thank you all ahead of time for letting me blow off some steam….
I have ZERO of the mega collections done. I take that back, I have finished LS. NOTHING else, though.
Yes, I’m frustrated and I think I play frequently. Although, admittedly since I’m falling way behind on these mega collection, I often think, “why bother”
The market is way way way way too expensive. And SDS is doing this intentionally to get us to buy stubs. And I don’t like it one bit.
One of the sneakiest things they’ve done is NOT adding cards to some of these collections. That keeps the prices high for the limited amount of cards to complete it. (Just look at the Prime collection).
Anyway, not a happy camper with The Show 26. Not at all…. SDS NEEDS TO CRASH THE MARKET!
Ahh, thanks for reading.

As long as it isn't the same legends every year. I don't want a game where every year I can just rule out Mantle,Mays, Ruth, Musial because they are legends that are always collection rewards.
-
I agree, but Zobrist is extremely underwhelming and another switch hitter.
I would have loved to see a NGL player as in a major collection. Say a end game Josh Gibson or maybe an end game Oscar Charleston. If wanted a meta switch hitter, I would been happy with an end game Biz Mackey.
-
@Dolenz_PSN Oh absolutely a great card, man, and one i'll play with once I am done with Moonshot, just a bit of a let down given the history of these releases and the resultant expectation.
Just feels like another self-inflicted misstep from SDS for me given they could have given us a Zobrist (in the HRDX program) and a legend that would create some much needed buzz for the next few months.

Buying stubs is only for whales. No light spender is getting any value out of buying stubs this year.
I think part of it is they intend stub grinding to be the main "content". Don't need to release new programs and cards when people still have to buy all those pack and online only cards!
