Legends and Flashbacks collections

The card art by itself is extremely underwhelming. Ben Zobrist?!? I dont get it. I really don't. He shouldn't be a top collection piece. Only legends which is in the title should be top collection pieces. Not a video game meta player and if he wasn't a switch hitter nobody would care for him.
If they were going to go with a meta switch hitter..... how about , say ,Chipper Jones.

I know I’m an outlier and I thank you all ahead of time for letting me blow off some steam….
I have ZERO of the mega collections done. I take that back, I have finished LS. NOTHING else, though.
Yes, I’m frustrated and I think I play frequently. Although, admittedly since I’m falling way behind on these mega collection, I often think, “why bother”
The market is way way way way too expensive. And SDS is doing this intentionally to get us to buy stubs. And I don’t like it one bit.
One of the sneakiest things they’ve done is NOT adding cards to some of these collections. That keeps the prices high for the limited amount of cards to complete it. (Just look at the Prime collection).
Anyway, not a happy camper with The Show 26. Not at all…. SDS NEEDS TO CRASH THE MARKET!
Ahh, thanks for reading.

As long as it isn't the same legends every year. I don't want a game where every year I can just rule out Mantle,Mays, Ruth, Musial because they are legends that are always collection rewards.

I agree, but Zobrist is extremely underwhelming and another switch hitter.
I would have loved to see a NGL player as in a major collection. Say a end game Josh Gibson or maybe an end game Oscar Charleston. If wanted a meta switch hitter, I would been happy with an end game Biz Mackey.

@Dolenz_PSN Oh absolutely a great card, man, and one i'll play with once I am done with Moonshot, just a bit of a let down given the history of these releases and the resultant expectation.
Just feels like another self-inflicted misstep from SDS for me given they could have given us a Zobrist (in the HRDX program) and a legend that would create some much needed buzz for the next few months.

Buying stubs is only for whales. No light spender is getting any value out of buying stubs this year.
I think part of it is they intend stub grinding to be the main "content". Don't need to release new programs and cards when people still have to buy all those pack and online only cards!

I mean, while Zobrist isn’t a top shelf legend he’s a 3x All Star, 2x WS champion and 1x WS MVP. He was a solid player.

@capardo_XBL I hate most of the collections so much. Specifically ones where you collect a ton of cards and get literally nothing, because you don't have some 85s, you'll never use, from some other collection that each sell for like 300k. Like, I did every Jolt card and have nothing. I don't like the voucher system and much preferred the way collections were done in say '24, where you get cards along the way to the final collection card. They still do that in a few of the individual collections, but for any of the "get excited about this card" cards, they cost way too much to be worth it and you just never end up using that legend's card.

Just curious. Will there be another L&F Collection this season?

Yes - one more in November. Since it has no date on it, I’m thinking it’ll be either the WS MVP or possibly the AL/NL MVP 2-part collection.
I know they typically go with Legends here but it is “Legends & Flashbacks.”

John Donaldson in November probably.

John Donaldson in November probably.
Does it involve having to climb out of a 10 feet ditch?
