2nd inning struggle for offline players
-
Am I the only one who struggling to complete this 2nd inning program? I'm an offline player, always have been since 19 and its a struggle to gain xp in this game. Never had this issue before in the past. Completed all programs, conquest, mini seasons (keep replaying it cause thats all we have), showdown everything for offline. It's just a pain...
-
brother we have had a thread about this going for days in the DD category. serious issue.

Yeah it’s a big issue and causing a lot of us to contemplate stepping away if this is what the future direction of the game is going to be.
I think I may do what another player is doing, go back and play previous versions for my baseball fix, then come back when things get squared away. If that doesn’t happen then it may be goodbye for good.
They will lose a lot of players and money if they don’t realize screwing over offline players won’t push most to play online. It will simply push them to walk away and never look back.

I love this game, because I enjoy baseball, and coop with my buddies...so I will admit I'll likely get it again next year. That being said, AC Black Flag Re-synced drops in July, Jurassic Park Survival hits I believe in early fall as does the Fable reboot...and then the big one- GTA VI drops in November and that will retain gamers for a long time in and of itself well into 27's game cycle and beyond.
The point I'm getting to in a round about way, is that there is a ton of AAA games coming out in the next calendar year that will likely grab a ton of people's attention away from The Show (other "struggling" games as well like Madden and NHL from EA for example)

@Sarge1387_PSN GTA is going to make it really easy to skip 27. Tired of the lack of effort
-
Trust me I get it. I love baseball and have played all the way back to the NES RBI baseball days. My son is getting into baseball big time and it’s something we bond over.
He enjoys the game but for numerous reasons you can tell he is tempered due to the ongoing bs that plagues this game. We all know it could be so much better but they continue to undermine themselves.
As you said there is a lot more to life, including real baseball which we both really enjoy, so if this game continues to go downhill then we can jump off or have minimal involvement. This summer should be very interesting so we shall see.

@Sarge1387_PSN For me it started with Crimson Desert. I have no idea how many hours I have invested but I have played pretty much every day for over a month.
Meanwhile, I have played 7 Conquest games in April and I last played on April 13th when I thought Jordan Walker might be in the running for the Lightning card and I would need to have all of the Spotlight programs done. He's cooled off and I doubt he is in the running anymore so if he is included it will be in the program or a pack.
As someone who mainly wants to spend my limited playtime with my Cardinals Squad, earnable content for my team will pull me back in. Unfortunately it has been 6 weeks since I could earn a Cardinals card by playing content. We have gotten two cards since then which is great but they have both been in packs. I know there are plenty of fans of other teams in the same boat.
Here is what I do know about myself. I won't try and grind content I am not that interested in simply to earn stubs so that I can buy players. Sure I don't mind buying them if I already have the stubs but grinding stubs to buy pack players on the market is not really enjoyable.

This is the big issue most are missing for this year. Every developer knows that once this hits, their games are toast for about a year. I think SDS is grabbing as much $$$ as possible this year knowing it’s going to be a thin year in 27.
-
You're exactly right. Now, my own little bit of optimism says that they'll prepare for this by really stepping up the effort to draw those people back in '27...but the realist in me is a good amount more tempered
-
If baseball has a long strike, Sony continues to cut costs, and the dev team isn’t completely overhauled 27 could be really rough. That’s why I feel like if they bottom out this year and run off enough players it could be game over next year.
-
Yeah, this is issue 1a after GTAVI, there isn’t a single analyst that isn’t predicting a lockout to start the season. The two sides aren’t close on the big issue and won’t be close for a while. If there’s an extended lockout that costs games, people aren’t going to be interested in an MLB product. It’s almost a perfect storm that’s bad news for SDS in 27. If I was leadership, I’d be doing everything I can to maximize profits this year in hopes it’s enough to carry through 27 and then do a massive overhaul during 27 and a big relaunch in 28. Just my two cents.

Im pretty much killing time til 007 First Light drops.
-
For me personally it's the holy trinity of AC Black Flag re-synced, Fable, and JP Survival. My "Core 5" games will be complete once GTA VI and 007 drop. I've been itching for a Bond game so much I fired up GoldenEye on my emulator.

Im passing on AC Black Flag. Actually, more like boycotting Ubisoft until we get a new Splinter Cell and/or The Division 3. Since 2013, when Blacklist was released on PS3, we've got 25 Assassins Creed games (including remasters, iOs and Android) and all we've gotten from Splinter Cell is a few Sam Fisher cameos in Ghost Recon. Hell, id take remasters at this point but they're choosing to drain the AC well dry.
I havent bought a Ubisoft game since Ghost Recon Breakpoint.

The Division 3
It's coming, rumour is it's going to be either Chicago, Montreal, or London, UK.
I'd prefer Chicago or Montreal because of it's possibility of a harsh winter setting again like the original. As for Black Flag...I suppose it's just nostalgia for me, it was personally my favourite AC game.
I liked the original Ghost Recon Wildlands game, but Breakpoint got too...I don't know. Felt like it couldn't decide if it wanted to be an RPG looter-shooter like Division, a stealth game like SC, or a full on shooter.

I enjoyed both Recon and Wildlands but I also feel like Wildlands was the superior game. I think I have played both several times.
Played through the initial campaign of The Division 2 but never pursued it beyond that.
And while I really like the main AC games I have never touched any of the spin offs from that series.
To show you how unpopular my tastes can be, I loved the Watch Dogs franchise with 2 being my favorite.

I play offline but since they forced us to play online events this year, I've done that. Some events were good and some bad. But the problem is the events are so short. If you work and have family and only get to play on weekends, there is no way anyone would be able to complete events in a weekend unless they literally locked themselves in their basement for the entire weekend. And even with that not sure if you could finish the events and inning program.
I use to play MLBTS year round but since CFB came out a few years ago I've stopped around July. Now if the MLBTS content and gameplay was good like back in the PS4 era, then I'd still play year round. But they're def not favoring the offline player. And like others mentioned, if I want to get my baseball fix, I'll just play some of the older games. Right now I am really enjoying the gameplay of MLBTS 16.

Right now, id put money on the Max Payne remake coming out before Divsion 3. Ubisoft is too stuck in the AC cycle. They cancelled the Division battle royale game and all they've said about 3 is that its in early development. I have no faith in them anymore.

I actually like Watchdogs 2. And to correct myself from a previous post, Watchdogs Legion was my last Ubisoft game which i attest to covid and lockdown boredom that made me buy it.

I actually like that one quite a lot too.
