As an offline player, I get the hint
-
I am not wanted.
Im sitting at 155k experience and I see...10k? With 2 weeks to go and no content until next Friday?
-
Oh I'm sorry, did I say 10k? I meant 9K.
-
In general, offline players are not valued anymore in video games.

Not sure what you're not playing. But I'm at 260K (52%) and I'm offline only and I still have 5 of the AL and ALL of the NL TAs yet to complete.
-
I'm a 26K so you are saying I could increase my total by 50% by playing todays content!!

Ive done all the content but todays content, and two extra runs through WBC. That is maybe...6 or so hours total this inning? This format is absolutely dogshit and makes 2024 look like 2021

Completely false in the sense that we are really talking PvE vs PvP.
Most big budget gachas these days don't even have PvP anymore. -
Offline content is trash this year. Unless you are no lifing mini season (which i did to compete jolt) then you might as well start a rtts or franchise for the down time.

If you are lucky you might be able to earn a valuable Show pack. Is that not properly motivating?
-
@Teak2112_MLBTS theres a stretch of around 100k at the end of the program where 2 of the milestones are a single standard packs and one is a single balling pack.
This might be the worst show yet. The changes to franchise are awful as well.

Yep it’s garbage. You could tell they were pushing towards online now it’s basically forcing it or leave. Hope they are happy when offline players bail leaving nothing but sweats left online.
Plus this all but confirms offline players are not only walking away this year but done altogether with the series. Good luck marketing DD to nothing but sweats online as new players aren’t gonna want any part of that.
DD is officially for online players only .

Diamond Dynasty is REQUIRED for ONLINE players.
YOU hold ALL the power in this game. Offline players can go load Triple crown Miggy into franchise whenever they want. You’ve never need to spend a stub, sell a card, or finish a conquest map. If gameplay isn’t how you like it…you can just the sliders offline to whatever extent you want. You choose willingly to play how they tell you too and unlock things when they tell you too.
You think you get the hint but you’re begging for chores to do that unlock cards they hold back from online players and online players ONLY.
Miggy, Randy Johnson, Babe Ruth and every card is and has been available to you every moment since the game came out. You are addicted to diamond dynasty. Not baseball or a baseball video game. You are asking for meaningless XP challenges that only grants unlocks for cards you can already use and packs that simulate gambling you don’t need to do. None of it is required to play the game how you supposedly want to play the game.
Offline players don’t need to be conspired against. They willingly sign up to wait all year.

@TripleH-4481_PSN the online is bad as well tho. Br is useless, half the time there isnt an event, and the multiplayer program is completed in a week. Ive ran out off offline content at some point during every year, but this is the first year where ive ran out of online content. I took my time with this multiplayer program and I still finished it with almost 3 weeks remaining.
Idk what they are doing this yesr.
-
Barely touched the game since last week’s drop; completed in what, 3 hours? Why play MS or Conquest on repeat when there’s nothing to grind for? And since I barely play I’m getting too rusty for online, so chicken and the egg I guess.
This game from March to September/October is usually 90+% of my gaming time; I’d day less than fifty overall since release and maybe 25% since XP Path 2. I might just jump back to franchise or find something else to play.
-
I’m at like 12 days played what’s that, 288 hours -a lot of them idle and I’m encroaching 280k
Most reasonable adults do not have this kind of time
Carry the one
Oh yeah the grind isn’t worth squat. Would be worth squat if they doubled pack odds, maybe just maybe added anything worthwhile to the XP path. Maybe fixed some bugs, just created a pleasant experience
Every time you finish a miniseason “regular season” you get to not see any progress due to their ignorance I guess. Here, look at a 0 Orioles card
Why would they even allow that bug to persist baffles me but hell they’ll carry that to next year they just don’t care
What do they do all day? Do they watch streamers? What occurs in their offices
-
@TripleH-4481_PSN I mean are you saying you only got the game to play offline? You should still be getting most of the xp through every offline mode to be higher than where your at.
-
@TripleH-4481_PSN I mean are you saying you only got the game to play offline?
Do people still not understand that gamers generally prefer PvE to PvP? Whenever someone does a poll in reddit its clear that there are more offline players than online in DD. And a long term progression mode has massive appeal to the PvE crowd so this should surprise no one

I'm starting to feel the same way. I'm just not enjoying any type of game play anymore. Last year I enjoyed offline and played exclusively. Got every card you could purchase.
Lately, it just isn't fun anymore. I'm doing well on the collections. I completed the Live series and am in pretty good shape with the new collections. The gameplay just sucks now. I'm terrible online. I can admit that and enjoy the offline play if SDS would just allow that.
-
Last year I had all XP innings paths done within 10 days.
Even in inning one i had it done in about 14-15 days.
We are well over two weeks in and i'm still nearly 200k away from a boss.
The offline content is down, the endless freezes are up.
-
agreed. SDS has destroyed this game for offline and online players. From making it near impossible to complete XP paths, to impossible to complete even lower level collections. Something needs to change.
I have been playing The Show since 2016, and I basically have barely played now for a few weeks other then selling some cards now and then. it is stale, it is boring, and not rewarding to play.
I'll probably just wait until later this year to play, so I can allow content to build up so I might have a realistic chance of finishing some content.
