2025 Retirees - Are you just going to ignore these players SDS?
-
A continuous program based around players who have announced their retirement is actually a cool idea. It may be thin at times, but as you pointed out there are some good possibilities in there
-
They typically do the career tribute around this time. Two years ago Wainwright and Cabrera were the stars, last year it was Grienke and Rich Hill (lol)
Carpenter has gotten 99s in both those programs
-
You can definitely squeeze in a 99 Longoria card. I lived in Tampa when he hit the HR to sneak them into the playoffs. That was as clutch as it gets and he was a stud at times
-
-
I would really like a 99 Matt Carpenter card. Always a fun card.
Also, where is Eddie Mathews? I know he's still in the game, how are we in September and not have a single Eddie Mathews card yet?
-
my God get me a Grienke 99!
-
LOL, you know you're gonna get your Yankees Matt Carpenter Spotlight card instead now...
-
I remembered this thread today and it still makes me sad.
Multiple players with 10 plus years of being part of the game and they were just left to rot in the FA pool all year after their announcements, many as commons.
-
I bet they don't have the rights to the non asterisked guys.
And while Carpenter has already been given two retirement cards, now that it was official its silly to not do it again.
And Daniel Bard? Guy had some 2 eras for 2 different teams, surely worthy of a cardAnd Lance Lynn is a two time top 5 Cy Young vote getter, surely he deserved a card
-
I doubt anyone at SDS even remembers MLBTS25 at this point.
