*List of Removed Legends for 2025*

This part always sucks. With a new season upon us, we bid farewell to another crop of Legends. Some names are more prominent than others, several have been annual mainstays with even a few being one-and-dones after just debuting last year.
The following players are not available in the offline roster which 99.9% of the time indicates they are no longer in the game...
Mariano Rivera
John Smoltz
Rich Aurilia
Brian Wilson
Paul Konerko
Dante Bichette
Kevin Youkilis
Johnny Damon
Vinny Castilla
AJ Burnett
Troy Percival
Tim Salmon
Mike Schmidt
Bret Saberhagen
Tom Henke
John Kruk
Greg Vaughn
Ron Guidry
Ken Griffey Sr.
Ernie Banks
Fergie Jenkins
Minnie Miñoso -
I doubt a bunch of those guys are out of the game

Luckily from that list the only ones I used a lot were Fergie and Percival.
I complain about SDS a lot but this year's new Legends compared to those we lost is a huge net gain.
There are a few names there that that I enjoyed using, but the only huge omissions I feel like are Mariano and Ernie.

Minnie MiñosoI highly doubt Rivera, Griffey Sr, Ernie Banks and Mike Schmidt have been removed. Give it a few weeks at least.

Gonna miss Fergie & Mariano, Those guys were always on my end game team.

losing more relievers than we gain is a big L
If they start cycling legends a bit to keep things fresh thats at least a compromise, but Schmidt and Rivera are inner circle elite guys and Banks is the face of a franchise. I feel those three guys should have been kept (though I get everyone hates Schmidt cards...surely they can tinker with the swing a little?)

I’m sure Rivera is gone because of the scandal he’s in right now. I wonder if he’ll be treated like another pitcher who was involved in a scandal a couple years ago.

Schmidt I doubt cause I'm pretty sure this was the same case last year and then he reappeared

As an Angels fan, Salmon and Percival hurt. Percivals OOP card killed for me last year

@Hokius_PSN what’s Roger’s scandal? If it’s roids I don’t really think that’s a big scandal compared to one involving a church and children.

Smoltz and Schmidt gone is a blessing. Hated the 6 Smoltz yearly cards nobody used, same with that 99 Mike Schmidt, nobody used him either.

There is no Ernie Banks card in the game.
Possibly mistaken for the 84 McCovey.
