Smoltz and Schmidt gone is a blessing. Hated the 6 Smoltz yearly cards nobody used, same with that 99 Mike Schmidt, nobody used him either.

And why exactly do they remove a few dozen Legends, yearly? And why are there duplicates of many players, when most of these gents are pulled?
It makes no sense, whatsoever.

Its how business works. Contracts expire, deals cant be reached...maybe someone decides they just dont wanna be in the game anymore. There are plenty of reasons legends would be removed from the game.
As far as duplicates, thats kinda what happens when you still have over 200 legends and only 30 teams.

I've heard all of this, for years, but I want to know the EXACT reason. I think it has to do with a database cap. There's no contracts.
