New Xbox set up - moving from PS5

So, I bought an Xbox X series. Why? Because they had them at Costco and my wife was out of town. I already bought all the toilet paper, cereal, and toothpaste we'll need for the next year, so... I threw something in the cart for myself.
Do I need to get the Digital Deluxe version I have on PS5? Wasn't sure about that. I know there's probably a good post out here somewhere, and maybe someone will be nice enough to direct me there.

No, you don’t need it. And if you buy the game pass membership, the game is free on game pass.

I know it says for the Switch, but the process is the same.
As far as buying the game. You only need the base version - or better game pass version.
I don't know if you can still do it, but it is possible to get 3 years of game pass for the price of a year - or something like that. You buy 3 years of Xbox Live Gold and then convert it to Game pass for $1. Here is a link on how to do it:
Also, if you haven't gotten a wired controller yet (so you don't have to keep replacing the batteries in the standard one), look at the PowerA Fusion Pro. I like it a lot better than the DualSense. It's not that expensive either (I think around $70). Of course, there are much more expensive ones too.
I'm currently looking for 22 in the Xbox X version (for as close to $10 as possible) because it isn't in Game Pass anymore. I will do the same for 23 next year once it leaves Game Pass.
Next year - buy 24 on the platform you want and the level you want and then for the other platform, get the base version. If you're like me, I will get 24 on PS5 (DD or whatever they call it next year) and for the Xbox get it on game pass (free). I also have the Switch, so I will get the base version on that too.

Yes. When you link your accounts, it goes with the version for your main account. As long as the platform that holds the digital deluxe version is the primary account, the daily doubles will continue.

Heh - It's better to ask forgiveness...
When I bought my XbX and C2, the wife told me that I had to buy the game for the next three years so I would get good use out of my purchases...DARN!
But then, after 35 years of marriage, we give each other a lot of leeway. -
Let us know if you feel like playing on Xbox is really an advantage when it comes to timing windows and that sort of thing. I've heard people saying this many times, but I value your input over most of them for various reasons. Please let us know after a week or so!

I'm really curious as well. I did buy it to play some Xbox-only games with my son, so it wasn't just an MLBTS purchase.
Keep in mind that I'm a "mid-tier" player. Temper your expectations
But - I think my hand/eye coordination is still at a place where I'll be able to see a difference or not. If I don't see any difference, I'll blame it on Xfinity.

Congrats on the impulse buy. I hate when they put the Xbox consoles next to the gum, snickers, and people magazine. Just can't resist. I definitely notice a difference in gameplay over ps5. Hitting just seems so much easier on Xbox.

I can verify that yes, the double login bonus worked once I linked the Xbox to my account. It worked just like @Blind_Bleeder said (keep in mind that once you enter the "Link Code", close the game and re-open).

Are you using the stock controller or did you get a wired one? It helped me to not look at the letters on the buttons and just picture the button layout of the dualsense. They may be named something different but they are all in the same place and perform the same functions.

Using "stock" right now, but ordered a wired one. It will take a while to get used to the left stick position.
