The OVR ratings reaction videos

How do you guys feel about these?
I’ll be honest. On the one hand, I like them, because making the connection with the actual MLB players is great.
On the other hand, LS cards are pretty much irrelevant in the game as it is now. SDS also seems committed to some odd idea of faux “realism” slash “old boy club” when it comes to keeping LS player ratings low.
I never thought I’d be praising Alex Bregman, but I love that he scoffs at his new OVR.
Cal Raleigh at 81? Bregman at what, 83? What did Julio get?
To me this sums up the growing irrelevance of this game. We know you keep LS ratings low so there is room for higher OVR cards of the same players later. Some of us just are over it.

Once they said it wasn't DD, I turned it off and haven't watched any after.

I like the reaction videos … we should kinda take the same attitude in such forums. The real players are max annoyed, forums gonna go crazy
Bregman: If you actually look up his stats … put your „astros-love“ aside … and think for more than 2 seconds … and consider, that they base the rank on a 3-year-average (they also said, that due to the pandemic, it is basically a 2-year average of 21 and 22) … Bregman is alright as he is. He had an average of about .800 OPS (rounded to his favour) and missed nearly half of 21. Last year: 23 HRs, .820 OPS … diamond fielding: yes … But he is not a (high) diamond …

I’m hardly a Bregman fan. I’m a Mariners fan, so no “Astros love” here.
I like the videos. I just wish they were relevant to the current game. RTTS and Franchise are tiny parts of the show nowadays and LS cards are pretty irrelevant in DD.
Find a way to change that?

Find a way to change that?Did you miss the theme team thing, they implemented with the captain feature? Paired with maybe the supercharged, LS will be more and longer relevant
