It doesn't matter where the pitch is. The ball comes in like a beach ball, and the PCI covers the whole strike zone. If you can't hit on Rookie, it's user error. I do agree that they through more pitches out of the strike zone than in the past, but for me that helps me stay focused for when I switch back to PvP
Of course I can hit on rookie. That's not the point. They've made it more annoying to grind -- that was the point. I know I don't play on rookie to "focus" or to help transition to PvP. Who the hell does that?! Other than you, I guess. No disrespect.

You can't access casual or simulation once in the DD hub. It's all competitive mode once there.
There's just no reason for pitchers on rookie to throw 3 pitches a foot out of the zone, then 2 that dot the black, then MAYBE one cookie. Happens way too often. Horrible design change by SDS. Rookie grind is meant to be batting practice, not patience practice.

But can you really be sure that the CPU isn't trying to throw down the middle and missing to the corners?

If you are referring to mini seasons, I'm thinking that good cards are still good cards.
Is it unreasonable to think that diamond pitchers on rookie may dot more than bronze pitchers on AS?
Just my thoughts/observations as an offline player who does conquest on AS/MS on rookie

Nah, Conquest on Rookie. Low rated pitchers. Garbage pitches. Why? So stupid. I play on rookie to mash, not walk.
I expect 90's in MS to be tougher. Not the point/problem. Ironically, it's easier to hit them because they throw in the zone more (I think).

THAT'S what I'm complaining about today.
In offline play, some pitches I put on one part of the plate are on the opposite side of the plate without my input. It makes no sense. I've noticed it more in conquest though.

I usually do rookie for Mini season and Veteran for Conquest. Although been grinding bronze hitters and silver pitchers on Veteran on mini season with decent success, other than the God squads being a bit tougher.

Didn’t realize that since I do competitive. I figured vs CPU if you chose casual it would be casual. Thanks for clearing that up

Not trying to argue with you but this is a false statement.
You can access the setting in gameplay. Casual, Simulation, and Competitive can be selected when you first fire up the game but if you ever want to change it you can go to gameplay settings.
The backend of the engine will recognize the change and implement immediately. The only setting that is default is when you enter online h2h gameplay, that setting is Competitive for everyone.

I've scored 19 runs on 25 hits one game, then 1 run in 7 until I scored 6 on the 8th. Sometimes you get unlucky.

Not that at all. I average probably 8 per game on rookie with the occasional explosion too. It's the pitch sequencing of cpu pitchers on rookie. I don't play that mode to be patient or work counts. It's there to mash and pxp. Horrible change by SDS.
