It's a huge step back from last year IMO.
I wasn't too sour on DD until this POTM program came out. Pretty beefy grind with the lightning player being very underwhelming.
Stubs are much harder to come by, rewards are iffy at best, market is a mess, etc. Just nowhere near as fun as last year (until burnout set in, at least).
Best thing about this program is the 42 pack.
Makes it really easy to take Pedro if he is indeed one of the other two.
SDS just follows MLBs choice for POTM so why are people complaining? It was either Ohtani, who already has 4 (?) diamonds in game, or Votto, so Votto it is. Simple.

6 total bases is a joke. The card to use is awful. Against the dodgers they run down everything in the OF with belli and no okie out there. PCI in the middle or perfect is a line out. hitting a dinger is impossible with 65 power
Got a no doubt animation once but of course it was a foul ball.
I can only conclude Bellinger has 250 speed and 500 reaction. Literally nothing is landing.
I did buy him a couple days ago. You're telling me I made a GOOD market decision? First time for everything I guess.
Maybe Chris Sale for the pitcher. His 99 has been a BR and WS reward the last 2 years I believe.
Moments have always been bad. Nothing is different now.
I've mostly enjoyed this year's game but the burnout has really set in. I am going to hang in there through the finest program (Nov. 19) and that'll be that.
If I get '22 it'll be around playoff time next season, hopefully on a decent sale. I don't care about keeping up with a whole year's content anymore.
Way too early to say that, but yesterday's stream definitely gave a bad impression that they're heading down that road. Bad enough that I decided not to order. I may pick it up a few months down the road when it's on sale if I still have the itch.
The worst decision IMO was making the first six FOTF cards you can obtain no choice/no sell. I don't want to grind a program and end up with a card that I have no interest in.
The inning bosses have been uninspiring so far. 1st inning was pretty good with Lofton and Valenzuela (I've never had good results with Piazza), but the 2nd and 3rd innings were meh. Good RPs, little else.
I know those will get better but I have no confidence that inning rewards overall will be good. Lots of content is feeling mailed in at this point.
TA programs are the best content they release. I don't think it's even close.
I like baseball and being a Tigers fan I'm not too inclined to watch many RL games this year because they stink (again).
After finishing the LS collection and now the Brett collection there's not much motivation atm, though new things are always coming out. It's just that I don't care that much this season. Gameplay is the same as it ever was (not good) and the content feels very mailed in for every program - tons of moments and pxp grinds.
It does feel stale this year. This is my 5th year playing and it's never felt like such a slog. It's entirely possible I've just had my fill of grinding out a team again but I've seen so many similar sentiments that I think it's more than just personal burnout.
Removing TA was a decision I didn't like (as well as the opinion that TA was too easy - "You have to suffer to get rewards!!!!!" is just not something I'd ever agree with. This is a game, games should be fun not something you have to endure).
MA programs are now a tedious pxp grind. They also botched April's POTM choice which led to the obvious choice for May being snubbed (even though I much prefer Devers' cards to Goldschimdt).
Anyway I'm giving it until the All-Star break. If the content around there doesn't spark more enjoyment then I'm going to call it quits then. That would be quite a change from last year when I played a ton from release until Thanksgiving.
Old Miami is murder on my old eyes. Anything around the letters or above is almost invisible.
But that's probably why those stadiums were chosen.
I had really good pack luck for about 6 weeks after release. Trout, Acuna, Tatis 2x, Vlad Jr. 2x, JRam 3x (two were before his upgrades), Pujols, and a ton of 85-89s.
Lately though it's been super dry. Rodon and one other recently promoted to 85 diamond I don't even remember in about 300 packs (all earned through playing).
Was hoping for a flash sale that included Always Intense 1 since Brandon Crawford is the last card I need for George Brett. Just have to be patient I guess.
I don't play any others but I imagine all yearly sports games are very similar to their previous versions.
But I will say the game feels much more like a slog this year, the MA programs in particular.

Rookie difficulty isn't what it used to be. I have seen corner dotting, diving catches, mistakes crushed for home runs, lightning quick double plays galore.
Every CPU pitcher dots a lot. The control stat on the card means nothing.
Ty Cobb, the best Tigers card by miles.
Also Ichiro.
It's entirely out of whack for hitters. Most painfully felt in the MA program. Grinding out 2,000 (might have been 2,500 even) pxp with two hitters wasn't fun.

What is with SDS Infatuation with Fake Cards?: I'd prefer cards of guys who've actually been MLB stars but these are fun too as long as they're not stupid OP like Edward Cabrera, I'm assuming it'll be very similar to the first feature program but I hope they've done away with no-sell, no-choice packs. I also hope the Tigers get Riley Greene. We get Jackson Jobe instead of the more popular, more desired Riley Greene

Saw that. Not too disappointed though since Jobe should be good plus Greene might be in line for a higher card down the road. Similar to Torkelson getting a 99 last year.
