I can't hit with 97 Chase Utley

Through 20 at-bats, I've produced three hits (all singles) and two of them were bleeders that could have just as easily been errors.
This is the card I was looking forward to the most for the division collections as I used to absolutely rake with Utley a few years back.
What am I doing wrong?

I had the same issue but got use to his swing. Took about 15-20 games to get going. Now he's over .300 for me.

Oh, I'm sure others are mashing with him. His swing feels nice, his attributes are great. The only part that isn't doing it's part is me, apparently.

Maybe you’re trying too hard, try taking pitches and looking for something in specific with him

This is most likely. I notice myself pressing when Im trying to PXP a player or right now using second half heroes to get RBIs in mini seasons. I try to crush the first pitch I see which ends up being a dribbler or a pop up in foul territory. Give Utley some time, I am also a believer in where you hit them in the order matters. IRL he is a top of the order guy but when I moved him to 7th he did much better.

Exactly. 20 at bats is nothing. Could be worse, you could be me sucking with Trout 2 years in a row with a large sample size.
Offset by hitting about .500 with Pujols. That swing is insane, and the shift is active against him, which helps.

You have to give people a minimum of 100 ab's. Then if you haven't started hitting with him, time to move on.
