Rizzo? Sds content is a joke this year

Yeah that topped off my day seeing the player drops. Then I opened a 20 pack for fun and got literally nothing over 25 stubs in value. Needless to say I closed down for the day lol
Thank you for your service. Sorry about the whole pack thing.

92 overall less than the bosses no less, absolutely pathetic
If you were expecting higher rating for the very first player of the month then you were simply fooling yourself.
-
Pretty sure Lightning Buxton was a 92 or 93 last year for April. I also know Corbin Burnes was only a 93 for May. This is no different than any other year. The game will get plenty saturated with high diamonds as the year moves along. Just have some patience.
-
Less complaining about Rizzo's overall, more complaining about a slow 1B with zero positional versatility.
-
There are a handful of other 1B I would play over him. Yawn drop.

Buxton was a 95, but his month was worthy of that.
He batted .426 with 8 home runs and a war of 2.3
Rizzo's war for April was 1.1 and he batted .273 -

I don't think the problems are necessarily the cards, more so people expecting end game cards out of the first PotM program.
-
SDS has shown time and time again they will manipulate their own game to ignore real world stats and accomplishments.
They gave me 3 or 4 1st baseman for doing the AL Central and Prince Fielder for doing the NL Central. I think they can chill on the 1st baseman. Especially when he isn't deserving

The problem is the guy doesn't deserve it. They just did what suits them instead of actual real world events

Every other April POTM lightning has been like a 95.

Who else would you give it to besides JRam and Arenado who we knew weren't going to get it this early in the year? There were a couple more options but noone that blew Rizzo out of the water as far as performance

Other players were better but looking at who was ahead of him based on WAR and what cards they currently have in the game. (ignoring pitchers)
- Manny Machado - 88 live series
- Nolan Arenado - 90 live series
- Jose Ramirez - 91 Live Series
- Mike Trout - 97 live series and 90 FOTF
- Wander Franco - 90 FOTF
- Eric Hosmer - 86 Veteran Flashback
- JP Crawford - 79 Live
- Francisco Lindor - 85 live and 90 FOTF
- Tommy Edman - 90 FOTF
- Aaron Judge - 89 live and a 88 Cover
- George Springer - 83 Live
- Jazz Chisholm - 90 FOTF
- Ty France - 83 live
- Rizzo - 84 Live
So if you go under the assumption that they just disqualified any player who already had a diamond card that leaves
JP Crawford
George Springer
Ty France
RizzoAs far as WAR is concerned JP Crawford has a 1.2 and the other three had a 1.1 so it was close.
Two factors could have played in to their decision
- Yankees Love
- Rizzo was gong to have the best power ratings out of the three and SDS knows how much players want power
-
May: “why are they not giving us end-game cards? Why should I even bother?
August: “these cards can’t crack my lineup! Why should I even bother!”

Yeah he was a 95, perhaps do your research first

Let's just call it the 10th best player of the month award then

What we crying about today?

I never open packs on these types of days, I save them for a few days. I always feel like sds lowers pack odds on days when people will be earning alot of free packs. Probably just superstition
