It's too much work to code it in

False. It a willful competetive balance reason to keep it out, and the correct one. You get 8 monster bats in your lineup from all eras of baseball and a bench of 5 guys that you already only use 1 or 2. Do you really need a 9th bat and no reason to use your bench at all?

    RE: Directional vs Zone

@tylerslikewhoa_xbl said in Directional vs Zone:

Personally I use zone but I noticed a lot of people hate on directional even tho they know little to nothing about it. Got me thinking and I bet if someone that has never used directional played vs some one that never used zone that the people that never used zone before would win because zone is more pick up and play.

Most of us understand completely how directional works. Hold pull side or opposite field, and Time up your swing. Perfect timing has an increased chance of the game putting perfect swing plane for you. It is not guarunteed even if you get perfect timing to get perfect swing plane. So you are at the mercy of RNG, and it can hurt players the same way it helps players. That being said, it provides less control, less skill based results and really does not belong in competetive modes suck as Ranked, Events or BR. Play vs CPU. Go ahead. Conquest, knock yourself out. Play vs friend. You do you. It doesn't belong in competetive modes.

Grinding the event, selling your dupes. Cleaning out your binder for jerseys unlockables, icons etc that you'll never use. I did that 2 weeks ago and had 170k in stuff I'll never use.

The fielding badge in games is just based off of the fielding attribute. The badge on the card is a combination of all three. It is dumb but that is just how it is

I understand that but when a card has 93 fielding and it is displaying them as a gold badge in game that makes no sense to me.

Can you name an example of a card that does this? I personally have not seen that happen

It happens with the ballplayer sometimes in conquest or play against cpu games. It's fine in Ranked Seasons or play with friends games.

92 overall less than the bosses no less, absolutely pathetic

If you were expecting higher rating for the very first player of the month then you were simply fooling yourself.

Every other April POTM lightning has been like a 95.

First off I am actually a fan of the slip n slide dives. Players actually look like they are diving on dirt and not Velcro. Now, whoever turned the success rate slider all the way up in testing for fun, needs to go back and tone it down a notch. Everyone in this game can make a diving play right now, save that stuff for the good fielders.

Speaking of good fielders. Why is the only distinction between good and bad rated fielders bad jump animations? Any fielder can be prone to weird animations, lolligagging it, and I've even had instances of the 1B not on the bag for a double play ball. That just cannot happen.

Fielder positioning is so random especially OF alignment. The Joey Gallo special is not a normal shift SDS, the data is there for you. Most shifts leave the OF in pretty normal alignment.

You've got to do better, some of these issues are deciding games.

Join the big boys and set your defensive alignment to manual. The auto shift is another crutch for the little billy bunch

If they would auto shift it for Double plays still after doing this. Yes. But it's annoying to do this for something that should be automatic. I would still want to choose shifts with noone on.

So glad they gave him a usable card this early. He’ll be my SS until the next one comes out.

    How do you get him?

    I think the new Event

Time to save some stubs to buy off market

Typically it's only 15-20 wins in 3 inning games and the wins give you bonus XP and bonus parallel progress. Earning him for free will probably also net you more stubs from the other [censored] you earn

RE: Most opponents on DD are hitting too many bombs

@vvsharkyvv_xbl said in Most opponents on DD are hitting too many bombs:

In 1st inning with pitches I pitch clearly out of the zone designed to make the hitter chase or react on a fast pitch but yet I get crushed. You can tell when they are swinging at everything making contact vs someone who swings and misses or someone who constantly hits bombs vs someone who grounds out or swings and misses alot. Something seems really weird. I used decent strategy in changing speeds and solid pitch counts and I get smoked. Then I see where it's working typically against a player who isn't that much different than me. Then I get mostly these [censored] aimbots who don't miss a darn pitch? They will hit like Gods for 2 innings and then play horrible for the next 5 almost on purpose for some reason and then rake again towards the end. Judging by how bad they are playing, there is no way they can just flip the script and just start hitting bombs with ease like they were doing beforehand or afterwards. They are hitting 10ft high line drives almost to the fence in the gaps and bombs with perfect contact. They will have 8 hits and 5 of them are bombs and win 7 to 3 or worse. Alot of times it seems like something isn't right.

If someone uses directional, you can't work the black. All they have to do is hold left or right and time it up for hard contact.

    Dealing with inconsistency/slumps

Ok. So I'm typically a World Series player. But I find there are times I either play down to my competition in lower levels, or just for what ever reason, start playing bad for a few game stretches. And I'm not talking about the unlucky squared up lineouts. I mean bad inputs on pitches and leaving hangers. Being late on meatballs I should put a good swing on. Or dropping/raising PCI too much and getting popups/DP balls. What do you guys do when you start getting into a funk and not playing to the level you can, and not let it snowball?
