In my opinion Baez but I guess they all have their strengths and weaknesses.

Yes, except for the aforementioned Donaldson, who has no weaknesses and is perfect 🙃 🙃 🙃

I have the LS Baez in my lineup for the PxP for the Cover program, and I actually hit really well with him.

the miguel cabrera has great hitting stats, but im wondering if the 88 mauer is worth it, especially since im nowhere near finishing the collection for his higher overall

Baez, Tatis and Ohtani. Baez us the most balanced. Tatis has speed and power but no defense. Ohtani is Ohtani. I feel like Tatis and Ohtani are good place holders until you get their LS cards.

I went with Mauer at launch, and have him at P4. Hitting about .278 online with 8 HR’s. The lack of pop hurts him a bit. Also seems to have a long swooping swing so you can easily jam him.

I’m looking at Ryan Howard, but I have also thought about McCutchin. He gets no love.

Miggy and Mauer. I've replaced Mauer with Adley but he's still very good.

I have Donaldson, who is obviously the best. No argument. Absolutely.

So, who's second best? Who am I going to pick? I don't care about position. Just who is second best...

Just take the one that is worth the most and sell them. These cards will be worth 5K soon.

McCutchen is a very underrated card. I think he’s easily in the top 4 of cover players.

With as cheap as the FOTF cards are right now, none of these should be in your lineup. If you are going to insist on having one though consider who will get the most mileage for you. I’m thinking that Ohtani card screams long reliever for garbage innings once you build a rotation up.

I got ohtani at launch and haven’t been disappointed. Just picked up Howard since I have tatis and vlad LS locking down the left side.

100% agree that JD is the best. I just played through the cover athlete showdown and I was impressed with Howard. I always like Harper, but I can’t imagine his LS is really all that much different from the cover athlete (especially with parallels and inside edge). Miggy is also a beast but I am hoping against hope that he will get a 99 in the monthly award for hitting #3000. Probably not happening but oh well.

I picked Tatis at launch and I've kept him in the lineup. He's hit a ton of home runs for me so far. I also have Mauer, but he's been weak.

I have never been able to hit with Griffey as long as I’ve played the is game. It took me until like December or January to unlock him last year and I’m not even sure i ever put him in my lineup. He’s up there with Willie Mays, Paul Goldschmidt and now Luis Robert as some of my favorite real-life players I just can’t hit with.

I could see that!! He is a lil tricky to hit with. I sit on 2 specific pitches inside. Any fastball up or down, and 2 specific pitches away. If you can alleviate swinging @ pitches in the middle with him (usually popups or groundouts) he is a beast.

Griffey and Robert are two of my favorites. Mays? Can't hit anything with him...
