It’s really not that hard to make your stubs back with a little profit though. Moments last year only gave rewards one time, these you can do over and over for rewards.
Yeah I make my stubs back but the absurdity of the opposing pitchers constantly hitting corners and rarely throwing over the plate combined with awful hit feedback is pissing me off. Hit with the ball in the middle of the pci and get good Ok or good “popped” or get good squared or perfect perfect and get out on a liner or a warning track shot with dudes with 80-90 power.... that’s just pis poor on sds end. Pre patch and those would have been bombs or likely hits. Now it’s a try and get the pitch count up and hope your feedback provides results... just lost 15-15 after scoring 11 runs,( besides the mini moment jobs I had) hit 5 perfect perfect warning track shots with Nelson Cruz, max kelper and encarnacion.....
I don’t think we are playing the same game

Soon we'll be paying for slider adjustments.
Lol man

If your any good you'll make stubs off this and get good cards because of the tickets. Although showdown is for little billy to spend more.

I agree with the pitching in showdown these pitchers get the chalk strikes but when you do it against CPU in moments, conquest etc you don't get that call..I guess u have to adapt knowing that swing will be a pop out or a ground ball..

Don’t get me wrong, I still beat it most of the time but the corner painting in boss battles is absurd. The hardest ones are al central and no East. They will throw 3 in a row no where near the paint and then hit the black 3 in a row after that. Easiest is NL west. As you agree with, the main issue is line out and nerfed power.

I will admit to being 0 for 3 in my 1st inning Showdown attempts, losing stubs each time.
Very little desire to keep trying although I expect I will, at least a few more times.
With the addition of Showdown (all or nothing for the points reward) and the removal of normal Inning Moments in favor of Player Moments (all or nothing for points rewards) they have made it harder for average or below average players to even get to 300 stars.

Dude there are plenty of Easy ways to 300. I’m also to 500 and I dot consider myself much better than average. If you get the moment cards you get 40 stars, there are several that give you chunks too. Conquest, online play ( only 10 wins) that give you 65 total. Dailies give a few and 1st inning showdown give you 70 that’s easily almost 300 stars if you count dailies for the inning, and it doesn’t even include playtime. Even if you don’t beat the showdown you get stars and xp....

I meant to specify that I was talking about offline players in my post. I'll make 300 but mostly based on playing time and not the actual Inning goals.
I have done the 1st Inning conquest. I have done the Granderson and Woods Missions. I have played half of the Main Conquest map and half of a MTO season. I have done some of the offline dailies. I have also played the starter moments, starter showdown and starter conquest.
I am sitting at 170-180 points. The only remaining ways to earn Points offline are Showdown, Collections, Dailies. Showdown is not doable for all players. The collections are simply buying Program Points for stubs, but i would rather use my stubs on players that I actually want to play with (also, you can buy all three bosses for less stubs than it would cost to finish these collections). Offline Dailies are minor boosts and let's face it, pitching 8 innings Orioles pitchers is not how I want to spend 30-40 minutes of my limited daily play time.

True on the last part. But I didn’t get all the bosses or anything, I just did all the other “free” ones. Showdown can be frustrating but if you learn to just wait for high fastballs then it is way easier. It takes more patience than I ever had on this game until I forced myself to take unless it was my pitch. Treated it like conquest extreme last year ( and yes it is almost that hard unfortunately) I don’t think they should nerf showdown but definitely tweak the pitchers to reflect the actual difficulty it’s set on. Right now they are pitching at least 1 step above the stated level
