Funeral For A Friend

Dearly beloved,
We are gathered here today to lay to rest our brother Alphonso Soriano.
Since the second week of the Show, he has manned 2nd base or every outfield slot. A man of culture, a man of class, one of speed, power, defense, and arm strength. A true five tool player.
But tonight we commit him to the binder, where he will be reunited with his many brothers like Jackie Robinson and Roberto Clemente.
Time marches forward as do overalls, and just because he will no longer be with us, we want to thank him for his contributions to our cause.
Thank you, Soriano. You will be missed.
Is there anyone you want to say goodbye to? Feel free to add your own.

Imagine spelling somebody’s name wrong at their funeral.

Lol. This TA is really going to get interesting with new guys going into the lineup and how my bench is going to set up. The Big Hurt is an instant starter over Papi and Vlad. Honus is really going to be fun. Larkin looks solid. Finally will get Betts so he needs a place. Biggio or Pudge at catcher. Sadly I think I will be having an Irish wake for my guy Trea Turner tomorrow night.

The problem I'm running into is I am also interested in those players you mentioned, the problem? They are all righties, I gotta figure out how to get more lefties in

Vlad Jr. We hardly knew ye
-
Anyone else worried about Bob Feller, he walked seven gave up a bunch of hits and 4 runs in that 18k game… I’m really hoping he doesn’t get Oswalted with his hits per nine.

HRD Pete Alonso, ASG Vlad Jr. POTM Joey Votto are on their last legs with The Big Hurt looming.
For me though, FOD Piazza and ASG Realmuto have been mainstays behind the dish. With Pudge bringing that bat and a cannon, I may ring the death knell

With Pete and Vlad Jr's price finally drop?

I hear ya. I keep Chipper in the lineup just to get some balance. I miss Mantle from last year. Also could use a new Griffey or Babe. But a majority of the other big names, Trout, Tatis, etc are righties. Im actually getting decent at hitting righty vs righty. Im still lost lefty vs lefty.

Rest in paradise ASG Jacob Tyler Realmuto, you did not ever disappoint me the way your real life counterpart has this season, but in the coming hours there will be better options available and we will both move on the greener pastures. Until we meet again in an under appreciated classics choice pack. Farewell friend.
-
Imagine if the Giants is Willie Mays and the Yankees is Mickey Mantle. 2/3rds of your outfield changes.
-
ASG Bogarts you have earned your rest

Carter will be my Catcher, Duke will be in my OF, Big Hurt will be my 1B unless Gehrig is released. I will say good bye to Betts and all the SS i have used. Wagner will be my new SS.

My best Lefty is Baines and I will add Duke to my lineup.

I'm currently using Brock and Ortiz as my lefties, 97 Conforto as a platoon with 97 Teoscar Hernandez. All 3 will probably go though once I get the TA cards
-
I took Soriano out in May, glad you did well with him though. I'm gonna take chipper out of the lineup for sheffield though

Still use Soriano and Buxton. It makes me happy having the defense and feels good hitting bombs with them.

I used to be solid lefty on lefty previous years and soft right on right, but I rarely find myself in lefty on lefty matchups this year and have gotten rusty.

Ortiz to slow bad defense and worst part I do not hit well with him
