Why do people refer to these program cards as being free? Just curious ya know, it's like they think the cards are sent directly to your inventory when you log on. I don't understand the logic. These cards are earned by playing the game correct?

I'm going to play the game anyway. That line of thinking means spending time with your family isn't free, or going to the park isn't free. You aren't using your "free" time to enjoy life because that time is not free. Personally to me, that is a silly perspective.

Well I managed to get all the cards without buying stubs. So that’s probably why.

Yes yes we all took freshman economics and understand the time value of money.

Free=you don't have to spend stubs off the market.

Did you use your credit card? If the answer was no than it is free. The whole time is money arguement really does not apply. Do you get paid to sleep? Paid to watch Netflix? Paid to go to the park with your kids?

I'm going to guess that less than 10% of the people on this forum understand "time value of money". But I do...

Technically, the "money value of time".

The OP knows what people mean when they say content is free and everyone else on here knows what they mean too, but I guess some people are just determined to be negative about everything, even if it means starting a trivial argument about semantics.

What's next? A post about how this is the worst game ever because some random free agent common has the wrong hair color?

Stubs aren't free either though. Easy to get, yes. Free? No. You still have to earn them like you do any of these cards.

So then just having to buy the game makes it not free. Plus, yes, everything you do for entertainment costs you. Even going to the park. It costs time. Time is a limited resource that is spent even if you don’t equate it to money.

Negative? Far from it. I actually love this game. I'm not very good at yet but that's not stopping me from playing it.

I guess what I'm mainly saying here when people say cards are free they are referring to the offline content and not the online content. Like they feel you don't truly earn these cards if you don't go head to head with other players and win to get them. As if these offline cards are handouts, everyone gets a trophy kind of thought process.

Just because you enjoy what you are doing does not mean you are not SPENDING time doing it. Time is a valuable resource. At least to me.

So if you pay to see a movie, did you pay twice? Once with money and once with time?
