Why is Mookie Betts an all star? Because of his history? He aint playing up to it this year. Justin Turner has been our all star so far.
How is German Marquez chosen over Walker Beuhler?
Lastly, I think Cedric Mullins should be a starter over Judge and T. Hernandez. Not that those players are bad, I just think Mullins has the better stats and is the better player.

What's even worse is guys who have been injured most of the year getting voted in like Trout. If he was healthy of course he would've earned it but he's not so give it to someone who is and has been playing all year.

They do give it to someone else. And allstar vote shouldnt be based just on the 1st half ive always referred to the second half of the previous year when i submit my vote.

Every team needs 1 rep. And realistically Buehler isn't even the biggest snub for NL starting pitchers. Taijuan Walker is. Mullins will likely start in the place of Trout IMO. Agree on Betts. No reason he should have made the team

Yes wrong. Each team needs 1 representative.

Don't forget Roberts is the NL Manager, so he's got a little bit of sway when it comes to picking alternates.

Not anymore. Fan vote for the starters, pitchers and some alternates is a vote from players managers and coaches and the league selects the rest.(not sure how many on the pitcher/reserves vote)

Fan voting is dumb and needs to be removed. I don't care what percentage of the final outcome it controls. 1% Is to much input from fans. Millions of fortnight children vote for big names every year. Small market players have a harder time being named starters when they clearly deserve it over big market players.

Max Scherzer having one of his best starts ever, and he has been pretty good in the past, and nothing. And that wasnt even fan voting that robbed him.

Mookie opts out of all star game. Beuhler and Turner picked.
Mookie did the right thing and admits to a bad first half start. class act guy. Hope he has a better second half.
