I generally just watch CBrev and Ancel. Mistergraavy is good too. The rest for me get annoying
I was surprised to see that CBrev is now making that typical shocked face to advertise his videos now.
Don't know CBrev but this. Know if you make a shocked face you shouldn't be on youtube.
I follow him on Twitter and a few months ago he said he was gonna do it because it gets more followers. The truth is, all these guys named above as bad dudes are that way because that’s what rallies their fanbases and puts money in their pockets.
I’ve personally wanted to stream, but from a different standpoint. I try to attack the game knowledgeably and help the community (I’ve made apps, a twitch extension, a discord extension) and generally try to help people in the forum, and when I’ve reached out to these top streamers to offer this stuff it always goes on deaf ears. They’re not here for the community, they’re here for themselves. I feel like even with the reactions CBrev still embodies that style and so I do find him the most respectable for the bunch.
The two streamers I’ve played in recent months I’ve beaten pretty good (BR, 3-0 and 5-0) and both of them spent the first two innings chirping me and the last inning saying “should we quit and switch to war zone, etc etc”
If they actually cared, they’d be in these forums helping people, answering questions, trying to help their opponents improve. But they’re not. That’s shown me everything I need to know.
The caring part is what has become such an issue for me.
They spin like they care about everyone in the community but they care of you subscribe to them only which I get that's how they make money but really after that it's all about them and really should we be surprised that someone who's profession it is to just be the only one talking and have people just watch you play a video game is an immature child who gets upset when they lose a meaningless game or get called out on social media?

Like I said. College Lefty and Ransom seem cool. I dont watch videos normally but happened upon them when looking for help with something. I would never watch theses kids purely as a form of entertainment. My kids watch some absolute garbage and giggle all night. I suppose this is just how life works.

Let's all sit back and remember the life of any of these "huge streamers" consists of sitting in a room and talking to themselves while playing a game and they get paid fairly handsomely for the same thing most of us do. Like screw it I wouldn't mind not working a real world job and just playing a game until I have a long enough beard that I look like I haven't been outside in 5 years but alas some of us have don't have 10 year olds with moms credit card to help pay rent

No need to hate on them, if it's what they want to do and they enjoy it who cares? They've at least committed to something and have followings which is probably more success than a lot of people hating on them have had in life. -
I’d say 98% of them are fake. My youngest is a gamer and went through a fortnite phase. Dang near every tag had twitch or YouTube in it. I’d randomly look up the tag and nothing was to be found…. I’d venture to say it’s the same with this game.

C'mon. I am in my 50's and don't sound that out of touch.
When it comes to Twitch and YouTube. It is less about watching someone play a game and more about the person playing the game. Are they entertaining? Do they interact with their chat? Most streamers are streaming to fewer than 3 viewers, usually their friends. Right now there are several hundred people streaming the game on twitch for 1.9k viewers.
To answer the original question, I do not believe that there are fake streamers out there, but there are many that have probably given up on streaming already when they realized how hard it is to actually get viewers.

I played CollegeLefty. The only player I recognized from youtubes. Was never more into a game. He destroyed me but I learned quite a bit from how he set me up. The only other guy I would want to play is Ransom (dude with the hats) but he could beat my diamonds with commons.
Ransom and lefty both seem like good guys that don't talk down to their audience or whine and cry when something doesn't go their way. Basement dwellers like mcgunski, koogs, shelfy, fuzzy, rebel and that complete and utter garbage human being yourfriendkyle are just so ridiculous to watch. I have no idea why they have so many followers. I really enjoyed rebels meltdown, that was hilarious until he trimmed his video and deleted that part. I'd love to watch it again.
I'll admit, I haven't watched much of any of those guys for quite some time so things may be different now but I always check out lefty and ransoms vids.
When someone posted about that meltdown, I admit I watched it a few times.

Eh, I would not say they are fake. I would say they are people who streamed or intended to stream at some point and have since given it up and just never changed their PSN name.
The only reason people ever put TTV after their user name was to try and drive traffic to their channel. I can't imagine anyone ever did it because they thought it was intimidating.

I'm probably 50/50 on the fake vs. intimidation factor, I think it's an age group that thought it was cool but never followed through but 98% sure their fake... lol

If anything, I feel extra motivation instead of intimidation. No better feeling than making a streamer rage quit the game and his stream, I speak from experience.
