How many fake streamers do you think are out there?

@wynsanity318_PSN
No need to hate on them, if it's what they want to do and they enjoy it who cares? They've at least committed to something and have followings which is probably more success than a lot of people hating on them have had in life. -
I’d say 98% of them are fake. My youngest is a gamer and went through a fortnite phase. Dang near every tag had twitch or YouTube in it. I’d randomly look up the tag and nothing was to be found…. I’d venture to say it’s the same with this game.

What a different world we live in now. I couldn't even read half of the comments because they were talking about watching people play a video game. It is the most asinine concept that I have ever heard of. We are all playing the same game. Who TF cares what the other person shows you on Twtich or Youtube. It is a person playing a video game. How is that enjoyable to watch. Play the game yourself.

Remember it goes a step further people pay money to subscribe to their channels

C'mon. I am in my 50's and don't sound that out of touch.
When it comes to Twitch and YouTube. It is less about watching someone play a game and more about the person playing the game. Are they entertaining? Do they interact with their chat? Most streamers are streaming to fewer than 3 viewers, usually their friends. Right now there are several hundred people streaming the game on twitch for 1.9k viewers.
To answer the original question, I do not believe that there are fake streamers out there, but there are many that have probably given up on streaming already when they realized how hard it is to actually get viewers.

I played CollegeLefty. The only player I recognized from youtubes. Was never more into a game. He destroyed me but I learned quite a bit from how he set me up. The only other guy I would want to play is Ransom (dude with the hats) but he could beat my diamonds with commons.
Ransom and lefty both seem like good guys that don't talk down to their audience or whine and cry when something doesn't go their way. Basement dwellers like mcgunski, koogs, shelfy, fuzzy, rebel and that complete and utter garbage human being yourfriendkyle are just so ridiculous to watch. I have no idea why they have so many followers. I really enjoyed rebels meltdown, that was hilarious until he trimmed his video and deleted that part. I'd love to watch it again.
I'll admit, I haven't watched much of any of those guys for quite some time so things may be different now but I always check out lefty and ransoms vids.
When someone posted about that meltdown, I admit I watched it a few times.
You're welcome!

Thank you for changing your pic back to the dog. I have nothing against rainbows or what they stand for, I just like the dog pic more.
I was trying to bait a shark.

Same. I think last one I played I looked up and they had like 5 videos posted but most recent was like 2 years ago. Like, at this point I assume they are going for the intimidation factor because they obviously dont actively post.
Anyway....unless its a random event game or early BR run, I'm not good enough to hang in the same area where most of the well known streamers play.

Eh, I would not say they are fake. I would say they are people who streamed or intended to stream at some point and have since given it up and just never changed their PSN name.
The only reason people ever put TTV after their user name was to try and drive traffic to their channel. I can't imagine anyone ever did it because they thought it was intimidating.

I'm probably 50/50 on the fake vs. intimidation factor, I think it's an age group that thought it was cool but never followed through but 98% sure their fake... lol

If anything, I feel extra motivation instead of intimidation. No better feeling than making a streamer rage quit the game and his stream, I speak from experience.
lol ahhhhh yes CRYING REBEL

Most of them selling stubbs . Every player they pushing is the greatest . Week later that player price is going down and they pushing some other card. Havent benefitted one iota from them atall except if they say something coming it is. Wonder how they could possibly know

While possible, if they were not actually active....there would be no reason to make their team name YOUTUBE or TTVetcetc. If you're actively playing mlb21 with a team name, I'd expect content on your channels
-
Of course you only get 1 free name change. After that you have to pay for name changes so maybe people are not willing to pay Sony just to remove the TTV or YT from their names.
Neither streaming nor YouTube is a easy as it seems to many. For every active MLB streamer and youtuber we have now there are probably 100 who tried to get into it and just gave up.

At least he said he watches you. I don't watch you so I won't say anything about your gameplay but if you want to be a successful streamer you're gonna need some thicker skin than that. -

The reality is people tune in to the explosive types more than the stoic ones.

@aaronjw76_PSN
Good point. I don't really watch Kyle because when I first did I find him annoying and always hear people complain about him but you are correct that he has a decent following so I can admit when I'm wrong.
