The categories of the cards are irrelevant. The problem is they release too many good cards too early. Tops Now, monthly awards and such should be lower overalls until mid July.
Topps Now is a joke that could be eliminated, but if Topps Now keeps us from having to buy Choice Packs for the POTM cards. I'll play the moments and put the diamonds in my dusty binder.

Agree 100%. People get too wrapped up in overalls and whether or not the card is good enough rather than just playing the game IMO

I think people get too wrapped up in overalls and diamonds.
Agreed. Anyone can pick up Jessie Winker live series and straight up mash!!!

Originally when they did this and went to the 125 rating scale it was to separate legendary players from good/great players. Which, I thought was a good idea and made sense… except they have completely went away from that and now everybody gets a juiced up 100+ stat card. IMO 99 OVR’s should be few and far between literally only the best players of all time should get a 99 card. This game doesn’t need everyone get a 96+ overall. 85-95 should be perfectly viable and I think it would make the game a lot more fun.. of course we know they won’t do that bc then they wouldn’t have all this content to pump out and cards dropping every week.
100% agree, tired of seeing avg players with 90-95 cards just because they had a good week. Really dilutes the impact of high diamonds

I did not have "Stop giving us so many good cards!" on my bingo card.
I know it wasn’t necessarily op’s point, but I’ve actually found myself far less interested to play of late due to the volume of cards.
I know it probably sounds crazy and it’s not necessarily a complaint as I prefer that to the alternative, but at some point when I realized I was pulling diamonds and burying on my roster without a care like they were commons, upgrading positions before I even really used the previous upgrade, wasting time grinding tedious busy work for players that half the time I don’t even need anymore by the time I get them...I started to ask, why am I wasting hours everyday on that? Very little feels special anymore and It sort of broke the spell (addiction) the games had on me since I started playing again in 19’. -
I love the Topps Now cards but I think they should top out at 90 OVR (highest now is 91). I love that it gives some current players an opportunity for a more useable card. I’m not really sure what the complaint is. The cards are basically just position fillers for NMS for the most part.
If I could complain about anything it would be these overly juiced Future Stars. They haven’t gone overboard yet but I’d like to see them toned down a bit as far as being some of the most dominant cards in the game based off speculation. At least Topps Now is based off a performance they actually had.

I think it's fine as is, but maybe the colour of the lights on the reveal screen could be the colour of the diamond (or the diamond background of the card). This at least differentiates the 5K Lance Lynns from the 500K Mike Trouts in a visual way.
They are different colors. Purple means sad face. Blue means 50/50 happy or sad face and greenish blue means happy face.
Happy face indeed when I pulled Trouty.
More like flying through the house shouting mode -

"Because I don't have it yet" is usually more than enough motivation for me to eagerly dive headfirst into another tedious grind for a new card.

If you are someone that likes to play the market, I do appreciate the gold cards. Just saying
