Best Catcher that’s not a CAP?
-
Catcher is the last position that I’m trying to find the go-to player at.
Currently, I have TA 2 Huff behind the plate but only have had a couple games with him and I’m still undecided.
I’ve used Piazza for a while after choosing him in the 1st inning program and was hitting right around .300 so kinda leaning towards puting him back in since he’s parallel 4.
Ive used 89 Gary for a few games but still haven’t found a catcher I’m happy with. What catcher has been consistent at the plate for you all?
-
I'm gonna say Joe Torre. He's surprisingly good, you should try him.
-
Huff is the stuff

That max contact and good vision intrigue me since I’ve been playing more on legend. Once I get the next choice pack from the NL Central TA, I’ll give him a look since unfortunately that 94 Bench doesn’t look too appealing

I am an offline player, but I've hit fairly well with TA2 Bench. Couldn't hit with Huff. LS Realmuto hit really well for me also.

Being a Reds fan I’ll eventually give Bench a look and see how he plays. I’m always playing HOF and above in Ranked so his righty splits are what worry me

Posada or Bench. Posada only guy still hitting over .400 for me mostly on HOF
-
Topps Now Keibert Ruiz is easily the best bang for your buck
90+ contact plus power vs RHP
80+ contact plus power vs LHP -
Offline player
Mike Piazza. .330+ Ave top 3 HR hitters on my team.

I love Adley. Having a switch hitter w/ solid speed, defense, contact and power is super nice. Usually hits 7th, but super well rounded and helps keep the lineup balanced.
-
+1 for Torre. Against RHP I think Gary Sanchez is the best catcher but he won't do you much good against Glavine, Lee, Leiter, Valenzuela, or Crochet
-
Jorge Posada has been my catcher since I unlocked him the first week he is unbelievable has a great swing does not make any mistakes behind the plate, throws Runners out and it's four more power than his number show. I can't wait for his upgraded card
-
I'm torn right now between Gary Sanchez, 42 Salvy Perez and Huff. Going to give Huff an extended trial once I'm done with my last two TA 2 divisions. Haven't used him much because I knocked out the AL West TA2 first so didn't wanna waste innings with him.

There shouldn't be any good CAP Cs this year! There are no gold or diamond C primary archetypes!
-
Everyone in World Series uses Posada.
-
Slam-tana is the correct answer!
-
Jorge Jorge Jorge

After a couple more games with Huff, if he doesn’t cut it, I’ll try out Posada from what I’m seeing here
-
I loved LS Perez, then moved to 42 Perez...then came Posada and I thought there would never be anyone else behind the plate for me. Then I finally tried Huff and have been really impressed. Has been all offline except for one ranked game...but he just seems to square everything up for me. I do value defense big time and want to test out Wieters...but I really think this is all going to circle back around to Posada for me.

Top hitting catcher on team is Topps Now Tyler Stephenson. He absolutely rakes. I've tried to replace him several times. He's hitting in the 350 range in total and well over 400 versus lefties.
