This is why I will generally do a moment 4-5 times, then move on and come back later. I feel like if I don't complete it the first few tries, then I'm just getting frustrated and swinging at everything, which makes it worse. Can't count how many times I've moved on, come back to it later and completed it after one or two tries.

Was tedious map as you have to reinforce around your middle stronghold often as you made your way around but still fun
I think if you're trying to clear out all the areas up front, yes, it can get tedious I'm halfway through and just used the 5's (?) around my stronghold to branch all those out one, to add an extra layer around my stronghold and then next round, just loaded one and went straight down to Seattle, beat them on Vet. Next round, loaded/moved to the SF area and went straight to beat them on Vet. Rinse and repeat, and plan to clear out all the other spots before finishing off the last stronghold. I think I'm halfway through and nothing has attacked the spots around my stronghold yet.
@namtrah22_psn said in Does anyone even like moments? Can we get rid of this junk:
I find the only time I struggle in moments is when I’m being impatient bc they can get annoying that’s why I do them in small doses. If I’m patient at the plate I usually beat all of them first try.
This.
For most moments, I will do them 3-5 times and then move on to another, because I get impatient and irritated, then come back to it later.
Yes, the multi-game moments can get annoying, but overall, I don't mind them as much this year as I did last year, for some reason.
It's the weekly roster updates as teams call-up and send-down players, and those who are on the 40-man roster. So the players you need for the LS collections change each week when the roster updates take place. But, if you complete the LS collection once, it is complete for good, regardless of players adding/dropping from the collection.
An example to my comment above, next week for the M's you'll likely see that Kelenic is added to the LS collection and needed to finish the collection if you've not yet completed it. Since it's a new card, it's going to be more expensive to get, because it's not as readily available yet.
Reaching base via error or fielders choice does not count as an "on base" statistic. You can claim it is considered "reaching base", but that does not change the rules of the actual statistic in Major League Baseball (thus also the game).
Let's be honest, we've been dealing with mediocrity for years ... this is nothing new. Fingers crossed these prospects develop close to expectations.
Of the three major awards, the only one's who'd fit the description are:
Jenkins - Also played in the 60's.
Dawson - Won MVP with Cubs in 87, but others have noted he's no longer in the game, and also played in the 90's
Sutcliffe - Won Cy Young with Cubs in 84, but also played in the 90's
Sutter - I find it weird they'd do Sutter since they already have a closer in the 2nd Inning Bosses ... but with that, he's the only one that fits having "played in the 70's and 80's". Has to be Sutter.
This one was rough for me, it was the last one of last weeks TN moments to finish and it definitely took me longer than any other Topps Now moment up to this point. With that, keep plugging at it. I ended up with a HR in his 1st AB and HR in his last AB. This though is why I will generally do a moment 5 times and then move on and come back to it later. I find that after about 5 tries, I start getting frustrated and it just makes it worse.

@dap1234567890 said in Huge Problem: Game ends on a sudden death run scoring in middle of double play:
If the first out was at 1st, then the second out would not be a force and therefore if the run scored before the second out would count as a run. Was this the case?
That is correct, but the way I read it, the ground ball went to the 1B, who threw to 2B for the force, then 2B (or SS) was intending to throw to 1B for the second force. In that case, the run would not count.

Once Stage 2 was released, it expired whatever remaining points Stage 1 was offering which you did not complete within all the individual missions. Stage 2 Stays open until you either earn enough points to get to Stage 3 or the April POTM Program ends.
Geting Dawson & Rizzo now might he impossible if you didnt max out on all the points from Stage 1. The ONLY thing that might save you & make it possible & "if" you have enough stubs. Is by buying every card from 88 OVR & 90 OVR packs that you do not have yet & doing both of the collections in Stage 2. However doing that will kill the last 4 packs earned because those are No Sell cards within those packs & that will make you have 4 repeats you can NOT sell.So you have to decide if having Dawson & Rizzo is that important to you or not.
No disrespect but this is completely wrong. Once you complete Stage 1 with 65 points, as long as you haven't sold the cards you earned, you have everything you need to complete Stage 2 and you DO NOT need to do the optional collection, nor do you need to buy any cards. Buying the cards will help you get there faster as the two missions for PXP for monthly pitchers and monthly hitters will take less time with more players in your lineup. But the program is designed to be achievable by the cards you win.
As the poster above me stated, complete all the missions and moments in Stage 2 and it will unlock Dawson, complete his mission and it will unlock Rizzo which will unlock Stage 3.
If you decide to buy the cards to complete the two 15 point missions and individual player missions faster, do not lock in the optional collection. You can rent them and sell them when you're done. If you need help, DM me and I'll try to explain better.
Yes but the problem is if you complete s1 with less than 65 points.. I’m stuck on stage 2. I progressed to s2 before I completed all the moments in s1 and now I’m stuck at 166 points. I think my only option is to buy 3 of the 4 cards and then do what you suggested (play their pxp missions and then sell the cards back). But point is, they created a mode such that you can make it unable to complete organically by progressing to s2 too soon. Definite oversight.
As others said, you can't get to stage 2 without getting 65 points.
If I recall correctly and If you're at 166, my guess is you missed a 3 pointer somewhere (a mission in Stage 2 or one of the 3 point PxP missions from the 85+ Monthly Award players (you should have 3 of them)), that gets you to 169, which I believe gets you Dawson. The final six points come from Dawson's 500 PxP. That puts you at 175 for Rizzo and on to Stage 3.
Worst case, buy one of the 85+ MA's you don't have, complete the 500 PxP and then sell it, that gets you Dawson.
Or if Dawson is 170 (can't remember if it's 169 or 170), you missed a 90+ MA mission, you should have two of those players. Those are 4 points that gets you to the 170. Then Dawson gets you to Rizzo.

Correct, easiest way available is to just filter by the team/series to pull up all the available associated cards, then just fill in your team.

If you switch a pitcher mid inning you lose that inning
Wait….what? For the RS innings reward, if in the middle of the 7th I go to my bullpen I don’t get credit for that inning?
That is my understanding of it or at least what seemed to happen to me, nothing is confirmed so it all speculation on my part. I know when there was pitching state like pitch X innings with this teams player items it would only count if a pitcher pitched a full inning
This has been an issue for years, it's nothing new. Just avoid subbing pitchers mid-inning.
While that may work, it would be nice if SDS could just calculate innings properly. You shouldn't have to let a reliever get pounded so you can get credit for playing an inning.
Oh I'm not saying it's right, I'm just saying that's the work-around. Having been an issue this long, I don't see it getting fixed anytime soon.

Real Life Hitting Success is not only what contributes to a players card going up or down. Fielding has a big play into it & as well other A-Stats such as with WAR
Do you even know what they did to their hitting stats after three weeks of play? Soto is like 70/70 against lefties and Turner is like 70/60 against righties. Your comment is literally pointless.
Took them a whole year of solid play to gain those attributes and they take them away after a few weeks? Soto is off to an OK start and Trea had like 20 rbi in the first month. Give me a FLIPPIN BREAK!
Not sure what their numbers were before but for Soto, the drop against lefties makes sense. Soto is a career .279/.378/.486 vs. lefties ... this year ... .170/.291/.255. Massive drop.
Turner, career .295/.350/.484 vs. righties, this year hitting .253/.337/.373 vs. righties. A bit of a dip in average and pretty major drop in slugging. Turners Avg/OBP/SLG are all significantly down this year compared to the last three. A drop in his numbers makes sense.
I've found it does that if you ground into a double play as the, what would be, 5th and 6th outs. You then pitch and then it adds in that last "out" and it's over. Just restart before pitching with "one out".

Online missions within programs are optional. I've not played a single online game this year. Every Player Program can be completed offline (I've done all but the recent ones, and that's cause I've cut back my playing time), every POTM Program can be completed offline (I've done both), every Inning Program can be completed offline (I've done 1st and 2nd, not yet completed 3rd), every Team Affinity Program can be completed offline (I've 100%'d both TA1 and TA2 for both divisions).
