Ranked Season trying to make world series is a nightmare with all these stupid pitchers

i think you have some points but also I view it as hof is more enjoyable as game though stress is huge and this is me typing post 5-3 victory at 800 rank. but id rather play hof bc theres less craziness in terms of home runs. I play all star events and go in knowing no lead is safe and its a circus and sometimes ya know im okay with being crushed in a game there knowing its absurd how many home runs. cant comment on contact swing since I only use x

I’ve been saying this for a few years but the constant switching between difficulties in a competing game mode is silly IMO. There should be a ranked season that’s on AS, one on HOF and one on Legend. Each reward would be commensurate with each difficulty. Let the goons fight it out on Legend and let the causal people play on AS or whatever difficulty they prefer.
This is an excellent idea. I'd play a hell of a lot more online if this was actually implemented.
Of late I'm just getting way too frustrated with the RNG and horrendous "user input" aspects that are definitely bizarre and out of whack at times. Just too much of a headache and rage inducer to play against sweaties.

HOF >>> AS >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Conquest >>>>>>> COTW >>>>> Legend RS

This makes perfect sense. But SDS is just too [censored] stupid too make online enjoyable. These fucks can barely maintain the servers in a working state. Just moneygrubbers. Stealing money from kids!!

it’s unrealistic for 99% of the pitches to be right on the black in a 9 inning game.. and that’s what i’m seeing. pinpoint needs to be made harder and less forgiving on bad input imo. it happens way too often where i completely [censored] up my input n the pitch still goes exactly where i wanted it anyway. It’s nice that it’s rewarding, but it needs to be more difficult and less forgiving on mediocre input.
Totally agree on pinpoint. It’s asinine that you can mess up the gesture and get a 76% which qualifies. miss your spot a few degrees, and come down a bit late but still qualify as “perfect”
Also, the other day in a game I didn’t get “perfect” on 10 pitches. 9 of the 10 ended up about an inch out of the strike zone and the 10th was a dot on the black anyway. Zero hangers on 10 bad inputs. It’s wild

This is what should be done , Make velocity fluctuate between innings and games .. some game sitting 96 some game sitting 94 like in real game , have some breaking ball have more bite then other , like in real life , have the velocity go down slowly as the game progress which is the case for 95% of pitchers in real life , have the control fluctuate between game by a certain margin like in real life , make the pinpoint harder and add a bit of location randomness depending on the control ratings... the hightest control rating of any pitch should be 85-89 ( maddux ) .. no way slider should be 99 control lol
All pitchers have inflated velocity's , some pitchers throw 99 in this game almost constently but sit around 94-95 in real life topping out at 97
fix the sinker , at the start of the pitch it has the breaking ball animation which is retarded
Make breaking balls and offspeed pitches much harder to control location , like in real life .. no one dots the offspeed on the black 95% of the time . make them throw fastball in fastball count like in real life , force them to not challenge certain hitters in fastball counts like in real life
Baseball has a lot of randomness and variation but this year pitching is way too easy. Im using pinpoint and its the easiest mode of pitching once you get the hang of it , should be tone down a bit , ASAP lol

Hitting on HOF is miserable.

Good game we had nash. You hit some really good pitches. Wish I wouldn't have had that base running blunder. Thought hitting the advance button would send them both home but oh well. You threw the 2 pitchers I really struggle hitting with - Chapman and Greene. Hate facing Greene with someone that knows how to pitch. He is nasty.

Sinkers definitely need fixed but haven't been for years so I am thinking it is a coding issue or they would have fixed it already.
I throw a lot of perfect pitches on pinpoint that don't go exactly where I want due to the PAR regions. I watched a streamer throwing pitches pretty close where he wanted and his pinpoint percentage was awful. If I throw a pitch with bad input and especially early, it hangs all the time. I don't want 21 to turn into 20 where pitches hang all the time for no reason.
I think a lot of people got used to hitting the bs hangers in 20 and can't adapt. Top players hit good pitches. I threw a ton of really good pitches to nash and he still hit them. It is nice to get rewarded for good pitching this year. Every bad input shouldn't be a hanger down the middle.

Ranked 815 and the game isnt fun anymore
try hitting burnes on HOF or Legend
try to hit cabrera on HOF or Legend
try to hit these lefty's with outlier with perfect command of all there secondary pitches + pinpoint being mastered by everybody , fun stuffYeah some realistic game that pitchers have perfect command of their offspeed stuff all game long
every game at these levels are the same story , pitching dual which are not fun.
when you average only 4-5 hits a game because pitching is so overpowered.
No wonder people tank on purpose.
as you progress thru the levels
Pitching gets way easier
Hitting gets way tougherGame is design to please only the top players . so stupid.sorry i dont wanna play 7 hours a day to be able to hit on HOF or legend
why not make both tougher at more difficult levels.
I don't mind the pitch speeds or the PCI size, but the timing windows seem to be kind of non existent or weird at times. Especially on low and away cutters/sliders.
-
I hate the random games where I'm very early on Cabreras sinker and the next game Im a mile behind it? The connection issues are amplified in WS legend difficulty.

Yeah, good game. Tried to message you on PSN but couldn’t find you on there. Base running is broken. I’ve had that happen to me before too. I try to avoid using L1 at all times now. CPU Base runners have a kind of their own

Yea, you get a bad connection game on legend and you have no chance. See my 31 k game against Crochet on legend. No fun.
-
I think pinpoint was a good idea but agree that it is probably a bit too easy. I think if you are using Maddux then you should be able to dot pitches all game but I played a guy on legend yesterday who I swear never missed anywhere all game with Nolan Ryan. I looked at the feedback after the game and every pitch touched either the inside or outside black. In sds defense though we wanted user input to matter but now it really doesn’t matter who you pitch with. Once you get pitching down control doesn’t seem to matter.

Not saying im a great player but every opponent i played at HOF level never score more than 4 runs against me , Think im 7-2 on HOF... All pitchers dual most of the game which is MY POINT in this post lol
If you are 7-2 on HOF why you so mad lol

you see those pitchers at every level, my point is on HOF of Legend pitching should get harder also, harder to use the pinpoint ,
jesus you guy are stupid if you cant see the point im trying to make ..
Pinpoint using or pitching in general gets easier as you progress
lolI'm sorry that I misunderstood your point.
I do agree that pinpoint is overpowered but when you get to HOF you have to expect that you won't be getting the same amount of hits you were on All Star.
Righty vs righty expect to see sinker in and cutter away. Use practice mode and practice righty vs righty against Corbin Burnes. Make him only throw sinkers and cutters inside and away and put hitting difficulty to HOF.
the problem is the command , everybody is greg maddux on steriods , this isnt real baseball , nodody can throw slider in a tea cup in real life ,
Im not saying throw a absolute meatball but at least make em miss a little , I dont care who you are if somebody pitching around you the whole game and once and a while he dots one for strikes ,,, you will take bad swing and can never expect whats coming... you should be rewarded to bring the count to 3-0 or 3-1 .. but with how easy it is to use pinpoint , you cant expect anything because of all his secondary pitches can be dotted , which is unrealistic.... 90% of pitchers mlb will throw fastballs in fastball counts
Nowadays, lots of MLB pitchers throw secondary pitches in hitter’s counts. Just ask Jarred Kelenic.
