Perfect game ruined!

The coward not only tried bunting to break up a perfect game, he quit in the bottom of the 8th after a single shot to right from Lofton to go up 3-0. I was 3 batters away from a perfect game.
Note to others: Don't compete online if you cannot handle both outcomes. That means being a good winner and a good loser.
What happened is just wrong. Know this: if you're pitching a perfect game against me, I'll stick it out.

Definitely should've stuck it out. The bunt tho depends on what inning and what the score was, sounds like it was still a close game late. Trying to bunt with a leadoff guy to get a rally started isn't the worst thing someone could do. If he was bunting with everyone that's another story

If I'm getting no hit after 7 innings... I'm probably gonna try a bunt too. If it was only 2-0 a leadoff bunt single could be enough to rattle your pitching and start a little rally. There is nothing wrong with trying a bunt late in a close game where you haven't gotten a hit yet.

Solo HR. Sorry I didn't use the proper terminology. The bunt was with 1 out and Vlad Jr was at the plate.

3-0 is ok to bunt. My thinking is if it’s close enough that a closer would get a save than it’s the responsibility of the base runners to get on and make something happen.
As for quitting that is a bush league move and may their next 10 perfect/perfects hit a glove.

I was perfect with Fernando through 7 and the kid quit up 4-0 on me. I get being upset

I've thrown 9 inn perfect games online before. It only happens against people who are Awful..... There isn't much to be proud of, I can tell you that much

One of many reasons why i don't play ranked anymore very often. I've lobbied for 24 hour ban to those who quit a ranked game or drop them into next division. If they are serious about eventually having Prize money type tournies this needs to be considered. Sorry it happened to you bro!

They should have a penalty of some sort for quitting out of a ranked game. Unfortunately Idk if they would implement it because people don't want to finish a game after falling behind 8-0. I've lost perfect games and i dont think to many ppl will throw them online bc most the time people will quit after 7 innings. Also its kind of nice when someone quits bc you get a game over with instead of playing out someone you are beating the breaks off of lol.

If they are losing 8-0 why didn't mercy rule kick in? Isn't that when down by 5 or 6? Regardless implementing might detour it from happening as often is my point.

It's 10 runs.. but I was just using a random number. Some ppl quit being down 4-0 idk some people have no fight in them.
