Things improve with time.
Imagine if Apple had stopped with the iPhone 1 because it was the best iPhone out there.
Also, whether it is the best sports game is subjective and debatable.

It is a short statement but not pointless. These guys promote this game every year saying how much improvement there is going to be but it seems we get the same product over and over. Now go eat some more ham.

See like this? If you wouldv'e added this to your OP. It wouldv'e gave the readers more context and perhaps even created points to further the conversation.
But instead we got a schoolyard response that is not thread worthy, in fact we already have enough crybaby post's i couldv'e chose to read all over this forum instead of this so called thread.
After i had to force myself to read between the lines b/c (You) the OP did not provide clarity into what your point was. I have come to the conclusion that you have literally wasted my time reading something that turns out to be pissing and moaning about a product that is still one month away from being released.
So yeah if you wouldv'e started out with an essay it couldv'e saved alot of heartache and prevented the snappy remarks that you provided toward me and others. I might've even gave you an upvote, but now i will just give you a 3 finger salute and just tell you to have a nice day!

There have been downgrades from some years and upgrades to others. 19 was an upgrade from 18 totally. But a downgrade in some ways from 17. And 20 imo was a downgrade from 19.
21 judging from the beta is an upgrade to everything in a lot of ways.

Seems like a lot of people feel that way. Personally I felt like I could win in 19. I had the confidence to win games more so. I never feel safe in 20 I feel like it’s a real [censored] shoot with both pitching and hitting.
I didn’t love 19 though. A lot of weird lineouts. But it was consistent with both you and your opponent. Like if someone hits a homer in 20 I say I MIGHT get a run...or I might just lineout for 3 innings whereas in 19 I felt like I might line out a lot but eventually it’ll be something.
My biggest thing for liking 19 though was I really felt confident with pitching and hitting my spots.
I’ve had some of the worst experiences with 20.
