They are still selling out practically as quickly as they go on sale. As long as that is the case and the demand outweighs the supply then scalpers will be looking to turn profits.

I'll try and create a stadium IF there is a way to choose it in offline DD modes beyond casual play and play vs CPU.
One of the biggest drawbacks of offline DD is you play very, very few home games. If you play Conquest smartly you are always attacking and never defending therefore you are always the visiting team. Moments drop you in to predetermined stadiums. There are very few options to choose home stadiums except the occasional "beat the CPU on all-star or above difficulty" missions.

Extended Play - Play vs CPU anytime, anywhere, any team, and any settings. Full 9 inning games, and rosters and lineups coincide with roster updates. Excellent mode for someone who wants to play vs CPU full 9 inning game. Kinda sounded like maybe you didn't know about this since didn't mention it.

I'm consistently stumped at how this is such a polarizing thing across the fanbase.
Given that development for these games are planned out far in advance, how was SDS able to look into the future and realize there would be next-gen console shortages? There's no way.

I'm hoping at very minimum last gen can at least use the download feature and use offline. There are some great creators in community.

Source please. The promo video just says in DD and Franchise. DD could mean only offline DD and Franchise is only offline. If they’d said Leagues as well then that would confirm it. So either Leagues isn’t returning (unlikely) or it’s offline only. Or they messed up with their wording again.

This is the misconception within community, all of DD is online. Play Now, custom leagues, Franchise,RTTS,and M2O are the offline modes.
So technically create a stadium will be online. But what isn't clear is whether it will be allowed in competitive DD or vs CPU.
This is why it kills me when someone plays CPU they are considered "offline" player you have to have playstation plus to access any part of DD (don't know equivelant for xbox). Hope this clears things up for you.

But the only games locked behind PS Plus are the ones vs another hooman.
Yes DD has on online aspect (card collecting and marketplace) but there is offline gameplay (extra innings for example, or whatever it’s called now.

Are you referring to “share your stadium with friends and play or edit your favourites in the online community”?
I’m gonna stick with not being able to play vs human online. It’s very carefully worded.
I’ll also add I don’t like the idea of people ripping others’ stadiums and uploading as their own. Hopefully the devs have put in some kind of ‘inherited from x’ splashed across the outfield grass if that happens.
