I wish my experience was more like eatyum’s and less like OP.
Unfortunately, I too am giving up lots of grounders through holes and walks followed by bombs. I wish I understood how to move my fielders.
When the game selects a middle infielder and I wind up running my outfielder away from the ball because the ball got through...
I was hitting fine yesterday but today I cannot square up a ball to save my life and even when I do, it goes nowhere because my opponent’s pitcher has ridiculous confidence from all my K’s.

I spent the better part of today playing the event and it was so bad. I’ve lost 3 in a row now and sit 8-13 in the event. Way worse than I normally do. I just don’t get it. I should have stopped playing but I just kept going trying to turn things around. Every pitcher and pitch getting hammered. Good swings not going anywhere. Late one minute, early the next. Ugh, just a frustrating couple days in the event.

Sundays are generally a tough crowd in Events for whatever reason. Don't get discouraged. I'll have games where I score 11 followed but another when I score 2. Comes in bunches sometimes.

Exactly my experience. I don't think I've ever finished below .500 in an event, but I'm getting crushed. I'm hitting OK - I actually finished prestiging Trout. My pitching though... I wish SDS would just create an animation of me throwing the ball underhanded from 45 feet.

I'm either hitting everything or nothing. My pitcher is unhittable or batting practice. Sometimes all in the same game. I played one today that was a 16-13 final

The quick counts can get a game away from you in a hurry. Similarly, they can get you back in it...

it almost seems, most games, it has already chosen who the winner will be. I'm getting clobbered by silver levels with sub .500 records and I'm clobbering guys with World Series banners.

I have played very few, if any, silver level players. I don’t think I played anyone today that had less than 350 games played or 65% or better win percentage.
I hope tomorrow is better because I’ve just about given up for today.
