Is PS Walker Buehler the best SP they have ever put out?
-
I know some of the finest guys like Bauer, Bieber and Degrom technically have better attributes than him but whether I am pitching with him or facing him....he's just flat out filthy and rarely can be touched.
Who else gives him a run for his money? I've faced Bauer and Bieber and they are quite hittable.

i love that you made this thread. ive been feeling this for ages.
currently he is my best SP in ranked - around a 0.70 ERA, around 7 games online, no one can touch him
just yesterday i did a wonderful 7 IP game in RS, 0 ERA, 13 K's - hovering around mid 500s so still scrubby but not from ground zero too and its on AS hell

He is the only pitcher I absolutely dread facing. That cutter is nasty
-
He’s a very underrated card. Coming straight over the top with the cutter/4 seam/ 2 seam combo is really dirty, and I had trouble with his live series at the start of the year.
But I feel like he’s much easier to hit now. Maybe it’s because lineups are juiced, or because I know what his patterns are, but I’ve crushed him the last few times I played the game.

Literally was playing last night, threw an 8 inning, 3 hit shutout with 13 k's and was like "every [censored] time, this guy is just pure filth....could he be?"
Go into his player stats and come to find out I am 9-1 with a 1.45 ERA with him.....and I am a slightly above average player, nothing great.
I know it's a bold statement but at this point it's tough to find someone better

He is an insane card especially in the higher ranks. The real deal.
P.S Bieber's card is absolute dogsh!t and should not even be mentioned in the same breath as Bauer or Buehler's cards. Can't compete with that trash card.

I fully agree with you, his name was brought up simply because the attributes. He gets shelled anytime I face him.

It's most likely because you have seen him a bunch by now and are more used to him. Lineups were already juiced when he came out. It's just like how it was super hard to hit Kluber for most people at the beginning of the game cycle but now that we all have seen him 1,000 times, most people are happy to face him now.

wonderful to hear my friend we are in the Buehler crew - we know, he knows it, it is the cool crew to be in - godspeed on the field and have a great xmas

Castillo Finest. Was only playing the CPU on All-Star twice. Dude was dealing!
Maybe a slept on card.
Of course it may be different in RS, but the CPU was flailing away all game!
TBH, i struggled against Buehler on AS vs. the CPU in the past, now that i think of it. -
He might be a top 12 SP ima
-
Luis Tiant has entered the chat.
-
That over the top delivery is tough (for me) to deal with. I struggle (to a lesser extent) against Nick Anderson for similar reasons.
-
I throw a cutter once .... Ending in my wall !!!

I used his live series quite often early on. I do think his high release point, despite not being as tall as other power pitchers, is something that makes his card unique.

Easily the best pitcher I've ever faced. Fastball/cutter is insane
