Nobody, the fun part of the game (beside playing games) is the grind. If I spent real money that would kill the fun of the beginning of the game cycle.

No thank you. Baseballs are white with red seams.

I respect you a great deal Mitch, as you are one of the best players on these forums. I have no problem with this however. The pitch location was down and away outside of the strike zone(although not by much). Good pitching input and Pitch location have to matter too IMO. Almost every WS player is already hitting .350 with the top players approaching .500. I agree this game has its faults, but that is more based on inconsistency rather than actual poor gameplay IMO. The reason we have problems with this game every year is because the community can't agree on what we actually want. 90 percent of the community want a baseball game while the top players, content creators, and kids that believe every word that the contents creators say want a batting practice simulator. SDS tries to please both crowds and that's how we end up with a product such as this game. I think 17-15 games at Shippett on HOF and even Legend are much more a a problem for a BASEBALL game than you not getting a hit on this particular pitch. Looking at the ERA's on the top of the leaderboard is just sad IMO.
A pitch in a good spot doesn't all of a sudden make your bat weaker. The reward of throwing a good pitch is that it is harder for the hitter to get a good swing on it but at the end of the day once that pitch leaves the pitcher's hand it's all on the batter. It doesn't matter if the pitch is right down the middle or on the black, if you put a good swing on it and barrel it up, it's going to come off the bat nicely.
@JediOfArgonath said in One out away from a perfect game:
I actually think it’s on you to prevent them from quitting. I’ve thrown 3 perfect games this year when the opponent didn’t quit. In each of them I made sure to never lead by more than 2 runs & to not do anything to enrage him such as bunting or replaying homers, ect...So for me this doesn’t count as a perfect game.
So if I'm throwing a perfect game I shouldn't score too many runs on purpose????? I am sorry but that is one of the craziest things I have ever heard. No one to blame but the clown that dashboarded.
@Lord_Blumpkin35 said in so im done!:
so im done with the game, with med school ramping up and just a lack of energy to the game I wanna wish you all well and thank you! believe I ended up 92-42 or so, never made WS but never really pushed. Hopped on and used all the cards I had saved for team affinty 40 and pulled. deeegrom. Wish I could hand my stubs away since there at 750k or so, and could liquidate up to 1.5 million I think. Fav players rogers hornsby, the nolan boys (gorman and jones), tatis FOTF, and my co MVP sheff and george brett. Orel was my fav pitcher by far, and was my first DD ever! pulled trout 3x, degrom 4x, verlander 5x, max 3x, nolan 3x, belli 2x, miggy, smoltz, and so so so many others and am NMS. if I could give away my players I would or if I can do anything I will!
Good luck with med school!

Yes. From what I noticed the US of baseball event has been a lot of players first event ever. So they didn’t get to 20 wins and bought him not realizing that the central event will have the same 3 rewards
Are you sure? The new event with Lefty Grove doesnt have him. I dont think he will pop up again unfortunately. Good thing I bought him for 683,000.
Sorry to tell you but that wasn't a good thing. Two more parts of that event will be coming soon where you will have the chance to get him for free.
Haha ya I am not crazy about those sounds either. My main issue is that you get to still use them as the road team. I feel that if they are going to use those sounds, they should only be used when you are the home team.
@nobuttonstickpro said in Another "Dashboarder" (Cheater):
but it's just pathetic how some people lash out when things don't go their way......that's exactly what you are doing. You didn't get credit for a homer (not getting your way) and you are lashing out.
Big difference. When you dashboard because things aren't going your way, you're taking something away from someone (even if it's just a homerun on a video game) . The OP being mad about it and posting about it didn't take anything away from anybody. They just posted about their frustration about something that clowns who play this game do (this is a forum about the game). The OP didn't take anything away from anyone by posting about it or "lashing out" as you called it.

Out of curiosity, why cant you hit a ball perfectly and still hit into a double play? You can hit a perfect grounder right at someone. The foul ball perfect hit is a little weird though
I want a video game. Imagine if you had a perfect headshot in COD and missed, or executed a perfect turn in GranTurismo and crashed, or a perfect jump in Mario Brothers and still fell in the pit. I want input to RULE outcomes 100%.
The difference is that this is baseball. In baseball you can perfectly hit a ball and get out while you can bloop a ball and get a hit. That's just the way this sport works.
@JaymesTime said in Event players watch out:
I won’t post their PSN. But their team name is “xbh with postseason players I quit please” and they bat Joc and Muncy 1 and 2 with no other postseason players.
This guy squared up to bunt before I can even decide if I’ll help him or not.
Never help people with prestige or getting hits with certain type of cards. If they want to prestige or need hits with certain types of cards make them earn it.

Personally, I feel like it's almost been easier this year. At worst it's been the same as last year from my experience.
This sounds like when people look at someone who is super strong and immediately say, "they're obviously on steroids". People who say stuff like that either a) have never worked hard at something in their life so they don't understand how someone can be so good, strong, etc. or b) they do work hard and still aren't good or as good as other people so they build a hate toward anyone who is that good. I could be wrong and you may not be like that at all but that's what you sound like when you make assumptions like this.

Call me crazy, but I would never stay in a freeze off for more than 10 minutes, winning or losing. I have better things to do with my time.
I never understood the "better things to do with my time" argument. If you have better things to do with your time then you can literally go do those better things while letting your game stay in the freeze off until you're done with those better things. Having better things to do with your time literally makes it even easier to stay in a freeze off.
By better things, I'm assuming he means he'd rather just play the game with the time he has allotted rather than just sitting around like some loser waiting for someone else to quit. People who wait hours upon hours during a freeze off are a special kind of moron. Who cares what your [censored] rank or rating is. Just play. If you're close to WS and you lose a game, just keep playing. You're obviously good enough to get back to WS. Plus, none of you people are going to be in the top 100 (likely), so who gives a rat @$$ what your record is!
Got you. I was assuming when people say better things they were talking about things not involving the game.
What I did that moment was hit the first batter every inning so he would be in the stretch which made it super quick. You're up by 8 so giving up the leadoff runner those three innings won't hurt you.

Got Soriano, not liking his swing too much. I don’t want Seimen Bc my lineup is balanced as far as righties and lefties. Honestly just waiting on Roberto Alomar. Has anyone used Brian Roberts?
Did you get the older Alomar card from the daily challenge in May?
Haha I still use him on my squad and he is still doing great.

Bro I saw you match up with OhChev, he denied your friendly quit and you straight up quit the game before the 1st pitch
you don't like a challenge? You had like a 1000 rating.
Checked my game history and I don’t think I’ve ever played him. I have quit out when I’m already in World Series and hit 40 wins and dont feel like playing a super sweaty game against someone who wakes up and plays the game until they go to sleep and nothing else. I don’t really see a problem in doing that. I don’t care enough to have a pretty record that won’t matter a year from now I’d much rather have fun…
I wasn't judging it was just funny, I've never seen anyone do that at that level. I would've just played and if he hammers me, so be it. But to each their own lol I hear you.
Edit: his PSN is not the same as his username OhChev, his PSN is EvNaSSty24
I’m not usually one to judge but I really think content creators are pathetic. They really don’t have a life outside of a video game. It’s supposed to be for fun. Not your entire life for 8 months. Like seriously go get your degree some friends god forbid a woman in their life.
Do you know for a fact they don't have a life or are you just assuming? I personally know one of the top MLB the Show content creators and he doesn't just play all day. He has a girl (a good looking one at that) that he's been with for a while, has a lot of friends (my brother being one of them), is always going on trips and living life outside of the video game, and gives away a lot of free stuff. He was doing construction and content at the same time until he started making enough money off of content that he didn't need to work his construction job anymore. I don't know if he has a degree honestly but let's just say he doesn't. What need would he have for it if he's making a very good living off of Youtube? If he wanted to get a degree for the love of knowledge that's fine, but let's be honest, most people get their degrees for what reason? To get a job. He already has a good paying one (Youtube), so why does he necessarily need a degree? Let's say he spends eight hours a day playing and editing his videos. Most of us wake up and go to work for 8-9 hours a day and still have a life, so why do you assume MLB the Show content creators can't do the same thing? I'm not saying I know all of these people's daily lives but I know one of them and he's living a great life along with being a content creator.
It’s a sad life playing video games 8 hours a day plus editing. Like even working a fast food job at least you got real human interaction. To eachs own but you can’t convince me otherwise that majority of the youtubers and streamers are some weird dudes like awkward as hell. The Kyle dude with his “my viewers are just so cute and handsome” is straight up weird. It’s a direct result of staring at a screen all day and not knowing how to have normal human interaction. Don’t even get me started on someone like fuzzy because I don’t even think other content creators like him and that’s saying something
That's fine. I was just pointing out that you can be a content creator and have a normal, healthy life outside of that. I don't know about most of those guys so maybe most of them are weird. I know one like I said and he's pretty cool and lives a healthy life. Either way, have a great day.

I hate posts like these because I just end up arguing with some casuals and get banned for a week. I'll just educate you real quick and then you can do what you want with it...
The best hitters in the league FAIL 60-70% of the time. There's roughly 80-100k sq ft on a baseball field. Including foul territory. You have 9 player strategically placed on the field to cover that area. Players smash the ball by directly to someone or an elite fielder makes a amazing running catch etc. This is why the best players fail 60-70% of the time. Because defenders make plays too. Timing can be perfect and directly off the sweet spot of the barrel... but the pitch trajectory and the spin rate along with wind, all play a major role in the physics of the ball after contact. So "perfect-perfect" being an out is 100000% realistic and people need to stop complaining about it. If it's a big deal, go play RBI Baseball.
A lot of the info above directly applies to your 1, 2 and 3.
Not you again. The OP literally says that line outs are fine so why do you constantly bring up line outs being possible when no one is complaining About line outs. Also, like I told you last time, there is no wind in DD so why do you keep bringing wind up? You are literally getting mad at people for things that they are not even saying.....again.
Thank you, my man!
I just found it funny that my boy hit one perfect and foul.
Then I'm getting arguments! Hahaha!
Most people don't actually read posts, and are looking for a "fight".
It's why I don't post much.
I love to talk baseball, not argue.
You, my friend, get it.
Cheers!
Haha no problem my man. People come on here with crazy complaints but what you're saying makes sense and you even specifically pointed out that line outs are fine which is totally true. Have a great weekend!
