Would you have been more excited if the Collections reward was "Reggie Stocker?"

I'm in different to it really,
I think no matter what we were going to feel like the reward was lackluster or didn't live up to the hype but I think all of that is because of the circumstance of the collection. Last year Honus dropped out of known where it was a total surprise and this well balanced rare card that held a real world methodology to it of the most expensive rare baseball card in the word just appeared in game with no warning.
Now here we are knowing for months that this was coming in some shape or form so the shock and awe of it arrival was not there cause we all built it up to be so much more.
I give SDS credit here cause the listened to the community who ask that the best Trout card be release before the latter half of the game and here he is smack in the middle for all to aquire.
All in all alot of fun was had in game today

I would have liked to see it be a program that would add several new cards.

If it was Barry Bonds I'd love it. Contact and Power of at least 115, 125 Plate Discipline, and automatically turning the opposing pitcher's BB/9 to 5, would be SICK
True that. He would have to change the pitchers atts directly lol.

Pepe Alazar

Bernie would get a 95 at best with juiced stats

The LS Trout plays almost up to the level of the MVP one with Inside Edge everyday. It’s a good card, but it’s lackluster and was the easy way out for them. My question would be was this the plan all along? or were they just unable to obtain a license from someone like Hank Aaron or another legend? With all the Braves added for the first time this year, I really thought it would be Aaron. I’ll have Trout today, but it’s only because I had prepared for it in anticipation and excitement for a legend. As far as I’m concerned, the collection reward should never be a current player that always has a great card in the game anyway. I can’t help but feel like this way was Plan B or C or D for them because of quarantines and/or just taking the easier and cheaper option. I’m hoping they shock us with some other bigger card in a couple months.

I think the trout card is really disappointing. I mean he is a good card but there are real comparisons to be made with springer and walker. A card this expensive should be in no coversation with cards earned for free. He didn't have to be better than mantle but at least close. He isn't. Trout won't even make an outfield spot when jr and mays come out unless you are just a die hard fan.
-
I personally don't like legend cards so glad it wasn't 1 and to be honest there were only 2 cards I would have paid for and 1 was Trout however the card is a little underwhelming considering the price.

I mean he could be cosidered the 4th best outfield option now. Dawson and Davis are also really close to being as good as trout. I do believe he is better than walker and springer but there is at least an argument that could be made for those guys. His price is way to high for the position he plays imo.

Dawson and davis are nowhere near as good as trout. Dawson has a horrible swing and davis has lackluster contact.

Cream and Clear were designer compounds specifically created to avoid testing rules.
Skeevy? Sure.
Deceitful? No doubt.
Against the spirit of the rules? Unquestionably."Cheating"? Not technically.

It is evolving, so maybe next year they’ll plan for it in tiers, and have collection rewards for each category... Look at team affinity, They always At least try and make the game better for the community.
-
To answer the OP's question...Yes absolutley I would take Stocker over Trout anyday. I like Trout, he is a stud but with all the hype of a new Legend, what a letdown. In 2045 when the game comes out, everyone will be wanting the Legend Mike Trout and no one will know who Ruth, Mays, Aaron, Mantle & Foxx are.
-
I don’t want Trout myself, I wouldn’t be too concerned with a Reggie Stocker, although he’d be fun to use. I do feel we’re likely to see Pepe Alazar at the end of the year and maybe even Reggie Stocker too. It’s the year of giving past years a nod and a wink, so let’s just get silly with it. But not until Christmas time, obviously.

I often find myself agreeing with you. I'm glad someone said this because I wasn't.

Just wondering, as I saw a lot of people anticipating that's who it would be.
Personally, I would never use a card that isn't an actual baseball player even if it was "based on" one of the all-time greats. It has to be the named player, in my opinion.
this is a joke thread right?
