I always have my Dualshock 4 controller connected to the PlayStation, which helps reduce input lag when I'm batting in The Show. Recently, however, the charging cord has become a little frayed near the end that plugs into the controller, and the connection has become... unreliable. The PCI will jump around sometimes, and it's gotten frustrating as it happens more and more often. Now it's gotten to the point where even tilting the controller or setting it down while it's plugged in causes the connection to be lost and forcing me to turn the controller back on.

Essentially, I need a new charging cord for my controller. I had bought a replacement previously, some android cord that allegedly worked, but it nearly burned my controller from the inside (at least it would have if I hadn't caught it in time).

I would prefer that I got a new cord that is the exact same as the one I'm using (the one that comes with the console). Any recommendations as to where I can get a replacement? Thank you!

Sony doesn't sell the USB Micro cable they bundled with PS4s, so that's going to be a difficult get. I personally would just recommend getting any old USB Micro cable at your local store. That being said, Micro USB is notoriously fragile, and the slightest amount of force will create problems. This fragility was a big factor into the creation of USBC

Are we sure a connected controller has better input lag than using the Bluetooth?

I actually googled it and a gentleman from this forum already made a post about it. It was actually the first result that came up.

Given the nature of data transfer, yes.

    Best Buy has this
If you go to playstation.com and look under accessories they have stuff from PowerA.

It's a real shame that they don't, I guess they already make plenty of money from PS+ subscriptions.... This one's lasted me 6 years, so it's run it's course. I'll look into finding a new Micro USB though, thank you!

I'm not exactly sure if this helps but I use a cell phone charging USB cable that imitates the one that comes from the console. Bought it at Best Buy. I'm pretty sure it's the same thing? But I also realize if it was simple like this than it's probably not what you're talking about. Happy 4th!
