I play on a projector and have made it to World Series in back to back seasons. Not sure what exactly the input lag is but its definitely higher than a monitor.

BenQ Zowie are great. The XL2411P is really good and affordable. Plus is 144hz so it’ll work with PS5.

This game is good monitor salesman that’s for sure. I play on a tv and a monitor with 1 ms and it’s not a huge difference. You’re not going to be early on fastballs and magically become a better player. You’re gaining milliseconds by playing on a monitor.

Educate yourself or don’t. The box you bought with a giant 1ms and ten arrows pointing to it was a good salesman, it means nothing because no monitor or TV is 1ms.
You would have been better off had you taken advice from a place like this where people are well versed. If you don’t see the difference, you probably upgraded to a monitor slower than your TV because you wrote them off before you ever cared to understand why the work better.

I can play on my tv and win 4/5 games without a game mode and make WS and it’s 10 years old. I’ve had high dollar best of the best monitors for pc gaming where it will make a difference since way before this game had online gameplay. My point is the I’m magically early on every fastball, and a monitor is going to make someone a good player at this game just aren’t true.

Kinda on topic, but this website goes through input lags on TV and such. I have this TCL tv, and it has been good! I don't want to game on a monitor...

So to be clear your point is YOU’VE been using the worlds best and most expensive gaming monitors for years and before online play even came out, but since you can make WS on whatever TV you have at this point, you think other people won’t feel a difference and become better even though it’s helped you nearly perfect the game?

No my point is that the posts of buy a monitor you’re magically better at the game are misleading. I see them all the time and giving people the reality point of view is all. If you’re really good at the game and want a little difference, sure go buy a monitor. But for an average player to go from a tv to a monitor it’s not the reason you were losing and the missing piece.

They get old I get it, I find the misinformation annoying so when you said 1ms I was annoyed as well that’s my bad. I agree with you mostly, just not totally because for some sweaty people like me it literally was the missing piece. My average went up .100 points and my win % doubled. That’s not normal, it’s quite obviously equipment based.
You’re correct though, it wasn’t my monitor, it was ME using my monitor. I’m a sweat. I knew how the game worked and what I was suppose to be trying to do. I was already zone hitting with SZ cam watching CB5 videos to get better before I bought it. For some people who want to get better, and are actively trying to with things like a monitor, I think it’s worth letting them know as opposed to acting like it was all me because the game probably tripled in fun factor if not more for me.

I wasn’t trying to argue, I generally ignore the posts but was bored today. I’m glad we came to some sort of agreement. I just wanted people to understand the other side of the monitor posts that show up all the time.

I sure hope it helps. I have a 32 inch curved monitor from msi coming in. Making the move from my old TV that finally quit working.
