Yes! It's my favorite hobby!
For me, I just collect what I pull, Being able to look at my some of my best pulls and remembering that feeling is great.
What do you think you would enjoy most? Collecting your team? Collecting your favorite player? Collecting the most current rookies/prospects?
If you're into prospects, Bowman is a great product, though 2020 Bowman is delayed because of what's going on in the world right now.
Topps Series 1, 2, and update are considered the "flagship" products. But there are so many different sets that appeal to so many different people. I know a lot of people love 2020 Gypsy Queen from Topps. Just look at designs and see what appeals to you.Man I was kicking myself the other day after going through some of my old cards and finding Bowman rookie cards (high school cards) of Aroldis Chapman, Grandal, Goldschmidt, Lemahieu and Baez amongst others. Kind of wish i had kept them sepret from everything else now.

Yeah, I went through my cards awhile ago when this whole Covid thing started, I was surprised at the stuff I found like a 2017 Matt Olson RC Rainbow foil.
I now have a shoebox system where I sort things by years, keep all the years rookies together so I can go back later and see who panned out. -

I've seen a lot of cards in mlb 2020 that i've collected irl. It's been kind of like a flashback to my childhood.

This isn't to be a smart a**, but I honestly didn't know they even made them still. I still have a complete 1990 topps collection in plastic sleeves - over the years it just became harder to find them so I stopped.

I am looking to get into collecting and like idk what to collect
If you want to start out with some decent cards, go with Bowman Chrome. Personally, I love buying the Bowman Draft boxes and hope I have a future Mike Trout in them. Elite Extra boxes have a lot of autos and #/d cards for the price.

You should see my small Trevor Story collection

The card hobby is booming now. Been collecting heavily since college so about 15 years now. Go to shows monthly (before COVID) and do a lot of business on eBay. Frequent Blowout forums a lot also.
Do you get your cards PSA graded?
-
I collected when I was a kid but I haven't for a really long time. In my closet i have four huge binders of cards, ranging from the early 80s to the mid 90s. I don't think any of them are worth much, but maybe they will be someday when I'm old and grey lol.

I love it as a kid. A couple years back, I got back into it...and spent a ton of money...LOL!
I love Bowman for the prospects. I also grab a few Topps here and there (same company).
Just collect items you enjoy...and it will be worth it. -

Some BGS some PSA. Prefer PSA personally.

Sadly those cards in that timeframe aren't worth hardly anything regardless of the player.

I collected cards since i was a kid and when it came time to sell my over 100 thousand cards i got $300. problem is there are to many cards in circulation. If i was to get back into it i would collect only rookies, cards from the early 1900's up to the 60's and i would make sure to get them graded.

Yeah graded vintage is $$$.

My best card was a 1911 T205 Eddie Collins, bad grade so was only about $200

Oh well, I mostly keep them for nostalgia. Back then I was too young to know or care about the need to keep cards in mint condition, so half my collection would probably be worthless anyway.

I have alot of 80's and 90's I stopped. Need to pick it up again. Cards got expensive

I recently started collecting again over the past year or so. It's still as enjoyable as I remember! There are a ton of releases now---I typically stick to retail stores like Wal-Mart or Target, but there are tons of more pricey releases online or at hobby shops.

You can find retail exclusive products that are actually quite good.

I have been collecting complete sets since the late 80s. Most of these are unopened. I have probably another 5K opened and stashed away.
I have no idea who I have. Best way I could look is to see what rookies came out in the years I have.
My best guess is that I probably have over 60K cards or more.
