YEP THE INNING programs have been a total waste of time! Rather have starting pitchers and relievers then this hot trash garbage wow

I'm in the Chamionship Series in RS (826) and I have both Oswalt (1st inning) and Feller (2nd inning) in my rotation and play plenty of teams with Helton or Hanley and some Joe Carter. These are good cards abd good players use them plenty.

I'm on the verge of Prestige with Oswalt too at which point he'll get a nice boost. Very excited.

The 3rd option could be a prime Dave Kingman too. If he has stupid power, that’s the route I’ll be going.

Before anyone complains about these bosses you gotta know this is a DIRECT result of the complaints of the “there are way too many 99s I can’t compete” crowd from last year

I don’t want 99 rated players overall but it’s about time we got some big names.

Who do you want exactly? They aren’t going to repeat inning bosses from last year and the only new “big names” are The big 3 braves, 1 of which just got a BR card, Ortiz, Mo, Mantle, Sheffield, and Biggio. I can’t emphasize enough that it IS still april/start of may. I am fairly certain the 3rd inning last year didn’t come out until the end of may/beginning of June. This is supposed to be a year long game. They are never going to release Griffey and Ruth this early

Hmm I think your right that the innings are being released faster this year so if we just get more inning programs then I guess I can’t complain much but we’ll see if they keep at this rate of releasing inning programs close to 3 weeks rather than 4 but I still feel people would be more excited to grind for a 94 frank thomas, Kenny lofton, joe Morgan, Tom Seaver ect, then later sds could still release their signature cards. I have always felt sds doesn’t release enough gradually rising rated legendary player cards and it would be sweet to have a 93 Griffey by now.

Id much rather have a prime Brian roberts than have 4 different Griffey cards. IMO griffey, chipper, pujols, babe etc. has brainwashed everyone to think that any cards except them=bad content. If you release those guys this early in the year then any and all content afterward is absolutely pointless. See MLB 18.

Not sure why they are so slow to roll out good inning bosses. Was it 3rd inning last year where it was Henderson, Alomar and Verlander?

It's an all-year game. If they put it all out now, it leaves the cupboard bare for October and November, and depending how far they want to push it December or January. They're doing fine with content, when you take a long range view.

I feel a Lou Whitaker switch hitting 94 rated second basemen card would be far more deserving than Brian Roberts. I’m biased with the cards I want to see but I do like sds bringing in new players just not the ones they are choosing. Bernie Williams, Lou Whitaker, Carlos Delgado I can go on and on of players who were far better and more deserving that haven’t been in an mlb the show game over Brian Roberts and Shane victorino. Also the game is severely lacking 5 tool left handed hitting outfielders while their are far more righty bats.

The red Sox Shane is my best hitter. Turns like lighting on the up and in fastball.

Ya it was.. keep in mind, these are prestige to 96.. so not as bad as it looks

And people asked for this. Last year there were all 99 line ups in the first 2 months. I’m enjoying the slower roll out, especially since these two are new and both have good swings. I’m trying to make an all switch hitting team and they’re definitely gonna be on it.

3 straight inning programs with underwhelming bosses. Wouldn’t be a problem except that 4 of the 5 XP bosses aren’t great either. I like Reggie. Don’t care about any of the others. I always get all the bosses, so I guess the joke is on me.

I actually really liked the last inning bosses. Hanram absolutely rakes and the card has always been a fan favorite in years past. The feller card is good if you can locate.

It's still the early game. These cards shouldn't be expected to be late game meta players, like Billy Wagner. I like that these cards are sticking generally close to the overalls of the moment. We're seeing mid 90s cards start to appear, so these cards are mid 90s. And as said before, it's not like last year where every card was 98 or 99 at this point, and the game became a "choose your god" adventure

My guess is the Bosses will be underwhelming this year as compared to last. The best cards will be found at the end of the TA paths, summer and fall. 99 Willie Mays will be the found at the end of the the Giants TA path for example...

I’m expecting the exact same thing! It’s the only reason I’m doing the Mariners, White Sox and Padres TA. Griffey Jr, Frank Thomas, Tony Gwynn 99s here I come!!

    Yes! My thoughts exactly

I don't mind. Don't have the pressure to grind for 300 stars now. Can just keep taking my sweet time playing MTO. Hell I think I'm only at 210? stars for this program.

How is a diamond 2B with high contact, high vision, some potential pop, 50 steal speed, and a switch hitter an L??? Might be the best 2B on the market, and in the game you would need Sandberg or Vidal to best him.

Well the problem is that they inflate the ratings of cards like....well...Shane Victorino. Good player but at no point in his career was he a 90 rated player.

Its not a problem unless anyone makes it a problem. They are just ratings. This game is supposed to be fun. If it weren’t for boosted ratings on “undeserving” players there would be no point in playing DD whatsoever because everyones lineup would look exactly like this:
😄 Piazza (his swing is garbage but always has the best hitting attributes)
    1B: Gehrig/Foxx/Pujols
    2B: Alomar
    SS: Honus Wagner
    3B: Chipper
    LF/RF- Williams/Ruth
    CF-Mays/Mantle/ Griffey

No one would use any other cards in their lineup if the ratings truly represented how good a player was. Im sure you saw MLB 18. Every lineup was the same from July until the release of MLB 19. Lineup diversity IMO is far more important to keep a game fresh than having realistic ratings
