Pitch speeds lag

I've got the same issue. What I can tell you is that I've never had this issue and I've been playing online since 17, and until this January on a tv with no game mode. A few weeks ago I went back to 19 and had no issue at all. I had no issue this year until patches 1.04 and 1.05.
So if it's my internet or tv, it's only a factor in this specific version of the show. Beyond that your guess is as good as mine.

The back to back oswalts in same division is how I knew it wasn’t in my head. Mix in a dif pitcher or rank and I would never know for sure, but I do now without a doubt know something is up. I believe it’s internet based as well. It could also be ping related when you’re playing someone further away. I play on a 1 ms BenQ monitor 90% of the time. I’ll play events on all star/ HOF on my tv and I’m rarely late on many pitches. I make World Series and go 12-0 every year. It’s just some games I can’t catch up to most pitches no matter what I do and that’s the whole point of this post. It doesn’t happen every game or even that often, but when it does it’s impossible to play.

I’ve also never experienced it this severe in other versions of the game, I think w the faster speeds and smaller timing windows when it happens it’s super noticeable. It’s really a pretty big issue

So..... Not sure if this works or not, but it seems to help me. When you get into the pitcher selection screen move your selection up and down as fast as u can if there is delay there seems to be lag. When it moves like your choosing an pitcher in an offline game with no delay it feels to me there is less lag in the game and I feel I hit better. Maybe its just me but it seems to work.

Yep, I hate to keep bringing it up, and if it was just me I wouldn't. But enough people are having this problem that there has to be something to it beyond telling everyone to get a monitor.

100% agree, I also have never had this problem before 20 and have been playing competitively since 16 online. Maybe someone has a solution or SDS responds.

I’ve experienced this as well. Those lag games almost feel as if your swinging a bat underwater and then you start over reacting and are very early. It even seems to happen sometimes in the middle of a game. Youll be in the 4th for example you’ve been catching up just fine then all of a sudden your late on any kind of fastball.

️️That will only tell you if you’re the home team. I could be the home team 100% of the time if I quit out of that menu every time I’m not at home. I’ve had this problem both on the road and at home which is the part that baffles me. Before this year your solution would work 100% of the time and I never had bad home games. That’s why I do t understand what could be happening just in 20.

I was having similar problems and even upgraded my monitor thinking that might be the problem. It ended up being a bad cable. My speed always showed good but looking at my modem's error log, every time I put any strain on my internet (gaming), I would start getting timeout errors. I contacted the cable company and they replaced the line coming to my house and no more problems. It has screwed up my hitting though because I played for a couple weeks with this horrible lag before getting it fixed.

I've been seeing this for weeks started one night in BR and I was like WTF!!! No way this is All Star the ball is coming in at 150. The bad thing was it happ all night untill server reset then I was back to normal. The game is unplayable when it goes turbo mode. Never seen anything like this over 15 years playing this game online. Really glad to see others with same issue. I hate to say it but it happens in half my games. I forwarded ports in router. Lol put ps4 in DMZ you name it. Doesn't matter still happens and I have 500 download speed with nothing else running. This has to be fixed.
I was like no way the real good players are having this happen. I asked a few and most said no they didn't know what I was talking about.

That could be it too. I have 1 gig internet. Who knows but it’s a good guess.

Real good connections may hinder us who knows. I also play wired in.

I dont have amazing internet, I think its 60mb/s, its the best I can get in this house.
Either way, it was more than fine last year, and in 18, and 17, and the first week or so this year.
So the question is to all those who keep blaming our TVs and monitors, or our internet, why is it just this game, why can I go play 19 right now and have it feel fine?

Something is wrong with how 20 runs. I play on a monitor and have had no trouble any other year.

I’ve had to basically skip the Event because of this considering virtually every game is Ohtani or Pearson throwing 102 mph.
It’s driving me insane because I’m not sure how much is user error or if something is up...as I’ve never been an amazing hitter but for some context I was like 120-60 last year and finished Moments Extreme, I’m the type of player this year that routinely beats Showdowns and the such, so I think my competence is at lest above average, but I get in these games and I can’t hit a fastball. No matter what I do and how I adjust I’m late. I had a game earlier in the year on Veteran where I was late on anything over 96...that one was bizarre.It’s really been a bummer and hopefully I can work it out somehow.
Oh, also I’m playing on the TCP series 6 or whatever form a couple years ago on game mode which I believe should be pretty good in terms of televisions.

Problem with matchmaking for rank rather than ping is latency, this will make klubers sinker bp one game then god tier the next
