I agree 100% with ComebackLogic - fix the hitting. First. Is it not possible to go back to release day when the game was overall in much better playing shape than now? Please??

I’m starting to annoy myself with the amount of posts, bug reports and negative feedback I’ve submitted on the topic now. I understand fielding was terribly broken and needed to be the main priority. It took forever to get any acknowledgment about that, it’s still not fixed and we’ve heard nothing about any of the other issues that are plaguing the game. Even if they came out and said “we’re not changing the horrible swing timing windows, nobody is going to be allowed to hit well this year.” I wouldn’t like it very much, but I’d accept that the game isn’t designed to be catered to my personal tastes and I’d stop playing it completely.
As it is, I’m messing around playing showdowns and garbage modes I hate, just to kill time while I wait to see if hitting will be patched. The way I see it, If this is the game going forward and SDS are happy with it, I can just stop building a team now and walk away, because I’ll never ever get to use it to play online, which is the entire point of DD. -
I just had AGAIN two no lock animations
whats really crazy to me is how sometimes outfielders literally dont even attempt to catch the ball...im not using bronze fielders lol im ready to catch in the circle and the ball goes over my head! I just dont get how last year all of this wasnt happening and now doesnt matter if you have Mantle or Trout....im trying to stay positive but its hard to enjoy this game at this point... -

Defense is still horrendous. Lindor shouldn't be walking over routine ground balls in the infield. Cost me a win in MTO. I play on Legend so the margin for error is nil. Patch 1.09 fixed nothing.

They patch it 1 week in and havent made another changes to hitting so its obviously in a place where SDS is happy with the current state of hitting. Otherwise we would have seen at least one more patch that had something to do with improving hitting. I know the fielding errors have become their top priority RN but there was almost a 3 week window between that hitting patch and their failed attempt to fix fielding so it not that important to them.

There was a patch??? Still way too many errors in fielding. Hitting is the biggest POS. yet. Wish to %%^& I had saved my #80 and just kept 2019.

Compared to this mess 18 was perfect. i hardly experienced any fielding issues until the patches stated...After 6 days of people pounding gold and silver pitchers on all-star they panicked and ruined hitting, i feel almost like we are being cheese trolled by sds with how frustrating this game is... after we have bought their lives for 10 years. At least they could not cheap out with the server capacity, that might help a lot too!
If the game still played like it did early release, i would drop 500$ tomorrow. Not getting anymore $ from me until 2022 if ever. The "server maint" last night made the game even worse in my experience today. Hate being negative, just wish i hadn't played until after the first few patches because i know how good it almost was and that's what makes it hard to stomach.
Whoever the dev is that built the original hitting for 20 should be running the show at sds. It was a masterpiece. Whoever made the call to change hitting should probably be looking for a new job by now smh. If i was the hitting dev i'd quit, what a waste!!!!

This game could be so great, still have faith in sds but m obviously hanging on by a thread here. Not trying to get suspended for being overly critical, am rooting for sds it's just getting harder to maintain the faith rt now. Corona has everything so messed up.

I agree with you, it's frustrating. The hitting felt great the first week. Now I'm very late on fastballs on all star even if I swing as the ball leaves the pitchers hand. I've been playing since 17 and this is the first year it's ever felt hopeless.

Just had a new one I hadn’t had before @Collin_SDS
I was charging in for a liner with my RFer, a ball I usually make the catch on. At the last minute (while I’m still running in) my fielder suddenly turns his back to the ball and plays the ball on a hop, fielding it backhanded.

I definitely feel outfield defense has been better since that patch. Still a few problems but the blatant drops when im set under the ball are gone and i feel im able to adjust more when im under the ball to make sure i dont drop it.
I still find alot of problems on hard hit or line drives to out field where my fielder runs by without attempting at the ball.
Also infielders are just to relaxed in general. Everything is fielded and thrown like david ortiz is going up the line even tho its actually ricky henderson or another really really fast guy and they are safe even tho it was a routine chopper to my ss. Especially when trying to field bunts my players seek so slow to react and hustle. Also had a few times now in last couple days when my ss wouldnt even attempted at a weak bouncer and it skips into the outfield when should super routine play.
Overall thank u sds for listening to us and hopefully next patch continues to improve gameplay like this one has

It’s pointless even trying in my opinion. Last year I was giving Pitching_Rebel close games in RS (he just sneaked a walkoff 3-2 bottom 9th). This year is just unbelievable. The game has to be broken in some way for me because this is just........ wow. Nothing has changed for me except moving to ‘20. No new monitor, no upgrade to PS4 Pro, no new internet provider, nothing. Yet the game is totally unplayable. You could come out and say “Hey comeback, I’m just gonna throw you 4 seamers down the pipe, get some batting practice in.” I would strike out 20+ times in a nine inning game. It’s impossible to make contact, I have seen clips of the ball going straight through the bat as if it’s not even there. Ghost ball. Why they can’t see this if they have “backend data” to analyse I have no idea, but I’ve now gone past the stage of being angry about it. I’ve reached the stage of acceptance and sadness and obviously I need to find a new game to spend the majority of my time with. I can’t enjoy the MLB the Show experience any more. That’s all there is to it.

Yep, I'm with you. This is usually the only game I play from March to November, but I've just about given up. I've got other games to play and things to do. I'll still pick away at it because it's already paid for, but I doubt I'll be back next year.
Not angry really, but if sds doesnt want us playing their game I'm not going to keep beating my head against a wall.

I added music because some of the clips I was in party chat and cursing extemely loud, figured I'd try and cover that up some.
