Cover Athlete for MLB 26

In a World Baseball classic year where MLB will want to push the global appeal I just dont see a Nick Kurtz or Schwarber type on the cover. Acuna could work.
-
It should be Acuña

Acuña definitely has the name for sure, but his stock has fallen a bit the last two years. Would be good for the game overall for a star like him to get back to his prime 2023 form.
-
Whoever SDS thinks will help sell copies. That is the only real criteria that matters.
Personally I would love to see more legend covers.
Acuna's cover should have been a couple years back, after one of his only 2 seasons (out of 8 ) where he played more than 120 games.

@Teak2112_MLBTS I agree with Yamamoto guy is insane
-
Willy adames
-
-
Soto, i'd love to say Cal, but i just dont see him as marketable. Love the guy. But if i'm marketing baseball, Soto>Cal
-
@TheGoaler_PSN not being on the cover isn't going to make Soto not jog to 1st or to a fly ball that drops in front of him. Dude is overrated.
-
J-Ram deserves to be on the cover. He should have enough name recognition for SDS. He's a Meta stud.
-
Joe McEwing for sure
-
Its gotta be Pepe Alazar. He's gonna win MVP this year!

I think MLB likely has the final say in this, and that its about increasing interest in MLB as much as it is about selling copies.

MLB does not have the final say. They can certainly make suggestions, and they can restrict anyone from the permanently ineligible list (Sorry, Shoeless Joe fans), but SDS has the final say.
