MLB The Show 26 - What MLB Fans Deserve in Next Year’s Game
-
@JoeSelser_PSN The game has gotten so watered down with silly games it doesn’t even feel like a baseball game anymore. And you cannot tell me the presentation and graphic couldn’t be better, come on now.
-
@JoeSelser_PSN At least bring back the Sounds Of The Show somehow and let us upload our own bought music or someone else do it for us like the good ol days. But graphics and presentation definitely need an upgrade.
-
@fubar2k7_PSN Also you can’t tell me MLB is better than CFB in presentation and graphics. That’s crazy. I know SDS can step their game up and get it done. The game has looked the same for 10 years.
-
SDS needs to sell the rights to the Show. We need a total overhaul of the game. We see complaints everyday with no fixes. That tells us all we need to know.
-
They need new servers but with this company not happening?? It's 2025 SDS online servers the worst.
-
Put realignment back in franchise mode, it's been missing since the 989 days.

I believe next year needs to be the year they truly elevate the presentation and realism of the game. Here’s what I mean:
As a Yankees fan, hearing Sinatra after a win or the iconic bleacher creature roll call would be incredible.
Want the retail price to double? Because that's how retail prices double.

There is nothing to sell; there is no exclusivity agreement. No one else wants to make a baseball game unless you want MLB Advanced Media to make games again, and no one wants that.
-
@Jacob151167_XBL I want options

What we the paying customers deserve most of all is a new SDS senior leadership that genuinely cares to LISTEN to paying customers and strives to implement all the suggestions that fall within rational budget considerations, and be honest about those that do not.
Boiler plate replies about "passing this along to the team," doesn't cut the mustard. That's been the truth since the beginning of time. People can read through boiler plate and it causes more harm than if nothing was said. However, nothing said combined with nothing done to even fix the majority of the bugs the new release caused is the most harmful combination.
That's the result of bad leadership.
-
@akapaco159_PSN that is an hardware limitation, not the game’s.

They need to dump Microsoft and Nintendo. The game has slipped since they had to make games for those consoles.

@PriorFir4383355_XBL Absolutely agree.

@fubar2k7_PSN Exactly. Honestly, I don’t care who ends up producing the game—but if they can’t get the job done or keep up with the times, something needs to change. I’ve played The Show for many years, and over that time I’ve watched it steadily decline. It’s now painfully clear they’re falling behind in presentation, graphics, and especially online play. The game needs a complete overhaul.
The storylines and Negro League additions, while appreciated, are no longer enough to mask its deeper flaws. Features like metal bats are meaningless if the core gameplay isn’t improving. I’m hopeful that by 2026 they can finally turn the page and make a gigantic leap forward. And even if they add the WBC in this year’s release, it still won’t matter if the graphics and presentation remain a complete mess.
