@Dolenz_PSN where’s the Bobby Witt Perfperf foul ball on the 2nd from the bottom? Where’s is the Rutchman lineout to RF in that same game? Where’s the Lindor groundout in the second from the top? Also why are we counting my opponents again.

Should I keep going? These are a direct copy and paste of your last 7 games. It’s 41 for 44 now. I’m sure you feel like it’s worse, but game logs don’t lie. Your truth isn’t reality. There’s only one objective truth and that’s shown here and in your game logs.

Omg how do I post these! PSN app won’t post them. And I don’t have Olsen so we’re counting my opponents swings again.

We are counting your opponents because game logs don't specify which team hit the perfect/perfect. And while it is easy for me to do some cutting and pasting while on the dual monitors of my PC I am not going to try an determine which teams those players are on when there are so many occasions where a player is on both teams.

Feel free to dispute the logs. But I can't think of any reason that the game log would show Lindor's perfect/perfect line out but not other players.

@Dolenz_PSN It also provides a bigger and more relevant sample. Was he unlucky and had more perfect perfect outs than his opponent? Yes. Does that mean the hitting engine is broken? No, it just means he was unlucky and only hit .857 on perfects. Perfect perfects should not be a hit 100% of the time.

@GoozeFn_PSN this is all very strange to me. Op seems very frustrated in the game play. And to come on here that frustrated just to be exaggerating that much doesn't make sense. Especially when I know for certain the game is indeed playing very bad this year. Now it may not be exactly what the op stated. But where there is smoke there is fire. And im hearing and seeing alot of smoke about the game play this year.

Content is great game play is not. No one cares about content when the game is this buggy.

@Dolenz_PSN Exactly. I have also said that hitting is worse this year. It’s just exaggerated every single time someone comes here to complain about it. You don’t have to lie to make your point.

After reading the OP, I was pretty sure that this was the outcome … If you post numbers be sure to have them right and not lie about it. If you do not know how to post screenshots, use google or AI to explain it to you. If both is too hard, do not post threads with numbers at all

Respectfully- I get what you're driving at, but relying on those "stats", which have shown to be fairly inaccurate time and time again, really doesn't strengthen your argument. (I played 3 games in the WC- my record only shows 1, for example)

What does is saying that in baseball, failing only 70% of the time puts you in the HoF. So when someone above went "So 7/23 on P/P is good?", my response is absolutely yes it is...that's a .304 avg on p/p batted balls.

Frustrating? Sure. Should every P/P be a hit? Surely not.

@GoozeFn_PSN have you taken a look at Google reviews on this game? Go check those out. Every single complaint is about hitting this year. Every single review!!!

Im not kidding every single review mentions hitting this year.

The reviews on this game are so bad this year. And i couldn't agree more. I want to break my monitor or tv everytime I play the game this year seems to be a common review when it comes to hitting. I feel that.

The hitting is a major issue with the game and everyone knows it. I don’t understand all the white knights who year after year it’s the same people defend this dribble.

Who is being a white knight? Am I?

I have stated numerous times that the hitting feels unrewarding.

Am I being a white knight because I don't take someone's claim that the overwhelming majority of their perfect/perfects are outs at face value? I have never once, that I can remember, defended the hitting in this year's game. I question launch angles and exit velocities of my swings quite often.

Am I supposed to believe them and just assume that SDS is doctoring every person's game history to show perfect/perfects in a better light?

I am all for questioning the hitting system. I just don't believe that posting what seems to be exaggerated numbers is useful. Maybe the venting helps the user who is doing the venting but I don't think it is useful in the long run.

@Dolenz_PSN I guess it’s a binary option. You either have to accept opinions as fact in spite of the facts, or you’re a white knight shill and people wonder why there’s no meaningful discussion.

Haven't you noticed that if you don't agree with someone, especially on this forum, that's complaining about the game; they'll call you a white knight or a simp for SDS.

Its supposed to be construed as an insult. But unless they're actually saying it to your face, not miles and miles away behind a keyboard, it just comes off as how childish they can be.

The feedback given at the end of a game is not at all accurate. So I would caution using that for anyone or in any case. I know this because I played an opponent the other day that literally dinked almost every hit. I was about to ask him how he was doing it because it seemed intentional. It was actually impressive. Everything just falling perfectly into gaps just over the infielders heads or placed just perfectly down the line. When looking at the feedback after the game it said he only had one late or early dink and no bad contact. So essentially he had no bad contact. His PCi ratings on the balls weren’t good but it said his timing or something was fine. Bottom line is the results at the end of the game are often one or two numbers off from your opponents and rarely right from what I’ve seen.

My 2 cents: I don’t think hitting is broken , but I do agree with the word @Dolenz_PSN uses “unrewarding”. I’ll give an example…

I’m currently finishing up a Lefty Longball mini season. As you can imagine (since I’m playing it “late”), my team is full of 96-99 hitters with 100+ contact, power, and clutch.

Yet, I can’t tell you the number of games I’ve won with the score 1-0, 2-1, 3-1, 3-0 ( low scoring).

This should NOT be the case! I should be scoring 10+ runs per game, given the terrible pitchers I’m facing.

Yet, that is not the case. I play in Rookie. I can only assume my team has been nerfed/gated to stop me from running up the score and getting too much XP/PXP. Yes, I’m winning, but it’s a very unrewarding experience.
