June Spotlight Player

Soto seems a reasonable option
-11 HR, .474 OBP is obviously worthy
-Hes actually not guaranteed an All Star spot at this point (but its very likely), but with Lindor and Diaz around they can skip his all star card if he does make it
-He hasnt been given a good card yet -
Acuna Will Probably get a HRD card
Marte will probably get a AS card (As much as I like Tommy Edman I can't see him winning)If they are smart they wait and decide after the all star Voting since several contenders are still in the voting.
Yandy Diaz had the highest batting average and was tied with Acuna and Marte in WAR and was second in wRC+. He also only has his silver live card so far.
Eugenio Suarez already had an April spotlight card and I am not sure if they would double up already if at all.
Tyler Freeman had the second highest BA in June and Colorado could desperately use a card.
Remember, in the years before sets and seasons it was extremely rare for the huge names to get a lightning cards as they are all pretty much guaranteed a a high level card later in the season. I would guess that is the case again as we inch our way into the high 90's in overalls. Soto will eventually get a 99 regardless of the outcome of the All Star voting.

@SavageSteve74_PSN Buxton recently got a collection card and Marte is an All-Star. Being a fan-favourite, I totally see him getting some all-star-collection card … So I doubt, both will be considered in the June spotlight
Andy Pages makes a lot of sense.

No one wants to do a program for Pages when Soto could be the choice

I’d complete a program for Pages but yeah, Acuña would be a preference for a lot of people :).

Guys like Judge and Shohei actually got some love in the POTM programs, but that was in 2023 when 99 overalls ran rampant which probably explains why they were okay with dropping such huge names for free early on in the game cycle.
Don't see that being the case this year with Sets & Seasons no longer a thing.
-
Side note: I really hope we get a POTM collection towards the end of the game cycle
-
hmmm...June OPS leaders
Soto
Muncy
Hunter Goodman
Elly
Yandy Diaz
Carroll
Buxton
Raleigh
Suarez
AdellAll of these guys have been given good cards already besides Soto, Diaz, and Muncy
Muncy might be the most likely if they dont give it to a big name player

Can they give him a boost specifically when facing Padres pitching?

Would be great if it's Acuna, but I doubt it,he'll be getting an HRD card.
-
@CarlosLBJ23_PSN should be Yelich Soto or Ketel

Ketel makes the most sense.

I think Soto does because Lindor will be the Mets AS card

Or Diaz (AS card)
-
I didn't know Ketel was doing so well.
All I know is that his LS Card is obscene, and should be as expensive as Judge & Ohtani. He's my clear MVP. I've been on a Conquest map run, to farm inning 5 early XP, and he's been wrecking games!, plus after that fan incident, he would be a feel-good choice.
-
I’ve seen a lot of people saying Juan Soto. Honestly maybe I’m alone on this one but I really don’t want a Soto card. I’d much rather have Marte
-
Ketel is gonna be the starting second baseman in ASG, the cards would be very similar, the only times they've really done that is when a player gets both an HRD and ASG card, they haven't really done that otherwise.
Kinda hoping they do do it to someone though, cause just about all the guys that had great June's are gonna be in the ASG. -
@PAinPA_PSN Will Elly be an all star? Maybe that would be a better choice.

I doubt they give it to anyone who has a chance at an all star card. Because they would be screwed if Soto or Marte got the game winning hit and they wanted to make him a card in the all star content but they can't because they just released a Spotlight version of him.
I still have my bets on it being someone who has little to no chance of being on the all star team.
Yandy Diaz would be my choice because he hit .400 for the month but probably not lightning because nobody wants a 1B with no Power
Tyler Freeman was second in Average for the Month and Colorado really could use a card. But probably not lightning worthy
Eugenio Suárez would be a good pick but he already has a 91 Spotlight card
Jo Adell would be another choice. His highest is a 92 Pipeline and he likely won't have a chance at a higher card this year.
It will be interesting to see who they pick, but I am still betting that they won't want to potentially hand cuff themselves with all-star content because they just gave one of them a spotlight card.

Wouldnt this same logic apply to the TA cards though? There will be 30 All Star TAs, good chance one of those is the MVP
I think Marte and Lindor are the obvious choices for monetization: neither will be the team's lone rep (Saurez and Diaz/Soto can get the TA cards), and they are both will liked switch hitters. I could see one as the big collection and the other as the insert or outright chase card.
