All-Star Jeter
-
I havent used him yet but he makes crazy plays when i face him. I cant get oneil cruz off short hes been really good for me the 99 arm strength is clutch for relays / throwing guys out at home
-
Jeter won 5 gold gloves & he made many clutch plays in the biggest games. His fielding & reaction should be at least 85. I know people will disagree and that’s their right, Just my opinion.
-
Jeter won based on popularity, they didn’t have anywhere near the fielding metrics they use today and would most likely not win a GG in today’s game. He’s an average fielder at best, they have his stats just where they should be.

Does this card secretly have 20 fielding? There is no other explanation for how bad he's been in the field, never gets anything more than an orange jump on a ball.
The explanation is "Derek Jeter". The 3rd best shortstop on his own team.

The weight of those five WS rings would affect anybody's range.

You’re one of those “Scott Brosius is a better player than Barry Bonds” types, aren’t you?
-
@SaveFarris_PSN He was better than Bonds in the postseason, That’s for sure.
Bond[censored] .191 in his postseason career if you take away 2002 which was his only descent postseason. He’s the Dan Marino of baseball.

If you take all the good years of anybody, they will have pretty bad stats
… Bonds is a career .245 postseason hitter with an OPS of .936 (which is way higher than Jeter‘s) … still bad by his standards
But, back to the OP … Jeter is one of my favourite players but they nailed his defense attributes with this card
-
@YOSHI24_XBL Bonds couldn’t even throw out slow [censored] Sid Bream bro!
-
@IrishFist412_MLBTS
Just FYI Aaron Judge has a .205 average in the postseason, not exactly clutch. -
Jeter was great for me until this last update. Maybe it’s just me but it seems like his power got nerfed.. I went from hitting home runs consistently to hardly any at all. He’s still one of the best Shortstops but has anyone else noticed a power decrease?
-
@Talkingben9558_XBL What does that have to do with the Brosias vs Bonds debate? Lol weirdo
-
@MRAD2010_XBL I have not hit many homers with him lately either but that’s mostly because I’m mid af.
-
I don't notice a difference in fielding between most players in this game. Its so random. I hit good with him though....
