The hunt for 64 Tanner Scott

Wow. Really SDS? Replacing a Collection Card with a different card but not giving a way to get the new card?
I looked at the card again … It clearly states moonshot program, so this has to be right … Yes, you can argue about that and yes I would probably be glad if I did not have to buy one of the 100+K-guys … but if you really look at it from a neutral standpoint: They did not take anything away from anybody
-
The issue here is that if they just gave everyone the Scott card then the people who did already spend to buy cards to lock in for Buxton would complain that it's unfair that people who didn't do the collection yet get another free card and they didn't.
-
That's not completely true. Anyone who has alverado no longer can compete the Mission for his PxP. The replaced the mission with Scott, but I can't get Scott to complete that program mission
-
Always gotta make things hard. Easiest solution. Remove Alvarado, lower the collection by 1 all the way down...this is going to majestic to watch lol.

Actually it would common sense to make the card available to everyone as it is content. Those that already took the time to use and collect Alvarado have him but can't add the new card to the collection as that slot has Alvarado. Then for those that skipped for what ever reason Alvarado they will get him upon reinstatement. What shouldn't be an option is having content dropped and not allowing customers to access him. They should not be expected to be able to double dip on the collection but should be able to aquire the content.

@Zooropa_Returns_PSN Consider who you are dealing with here....Its SDS they could literally mess up a wet dream. My way would have been easy. Your way absolutely makes sense...but all the twists and turns of it...do you really trust them to get it right?

It did not say anything else … They replaced him … So everybody can get a common moonshot. Some have Alvarado. Those who have not cannot can now get Tanner … Nobody loses. But I get what is going on :). Nobody wants to buy the 100+K card to finish Buxton (myself included)
… But that takes nothing away from the fact that they did not take anything away from anybody

It is a slight, minor loss for those who got Alvarado and did not do his PXP mission yet. Because that is one less easy mission we can do because when they replaced the card they also replaced the mission.
So now we can't get Scott to do his mission and we can't do the Alverado mission because it no longer exists. It's only 5 points but it was an easy 5 points to earn.
In the end I don't really care because I won't slog through those stat missions when I have a hard enough time hitting HRs this year.
Lastly, there are 29 other teams each with about a dozen pitchers to choose from. Why give Tanner Scott a 3rd card already and further boost the Dodgers card count?

@YOSHI24_XBL you work at SDS? Trash move by them, ppl are weird defending a billion dollar company

No, but it is one thing to always complain (about nothing, like in this case), second having wishes (I would also like to save the stubs regarding Bichette/Mullins) and third looking at it from a neutral standpoint (which is that nothing was taken away from anybody). I took the third route … and you took the way on my block list, because I am tired of these kind of comments

Ah, ok, I did not see that they took away the Alvarado mission … That is a loss indeed. Sorry for my misunderstanding (also to @Mast1178_XBL I did not read your reply well enough)

If you have Alvarado and completed his PXP Mission - You're Fine
If you did not get Alvarado, you will receive Scott and be able to do his PXP Mission - You'll be Fine
If you have Alvarado and did not complete his PXP Mission - Submit a Ticket to SDS and they'll swap the card for you and you'll be fine. -
@Mast1178_XBL They gave you multiple different ways to complete this program without needing to do that though.

If anyone has any trouble here and needs to get Alvarado switched out for Scott, just reach out to support via https://theshow.com/support
I'm talking with the team about how we might be able to better communicate these changes in the future to avoid confusion.

So, what is stopping me from collecting Alvarado and then submitting a ticket saying I’d prefer Scott, only to then also collect Scott? How is that not abusable to get an extra card for the collection for free?

The rejection since you don't qualify in this scenario will stop you.
-
Because you can't own both of them. If you earned Alvarado, let's say, and would rather have Scott, Support can swap them out for you, thus, you'd no longer have Alvarado.
-
But once you’ve collected Alvarado, you’ll be at 1/41 collected and traditionally he’d still count as collected once he’s removed from the inventory and Scott is added, who you can then collect to get to 2/41.
We literally did this exact thing all of last year, by design, with the cornerstone cards in each season’s collection. Removing a card from inventory doesn’t drop the collection back down to 0/41. Once it’s collected, it’s collected and you stay at 1/41.
To be clear, in 24, we all collected all 3 cornerstone captains in each season’s collection despite only owning 1 of the 3 at any time.

Support can see what cards you have locked in abd whether or not you completed the Alvarado mission.
If you completed it and have Alvarado locked in; chances are they won't swap him out.

Both of you are just blindly making up what SDS will do when they haven’t said any such thing in reply to me directing a question specifically to SDS. Why are you replying? You can let SDS do their jobs themselves. Legitimately, please seek therapy. Both of you.
