April Lightning

The complete disrespect you show to Wilmer Flores and the SF Giants is disgusting. He literally led the league in RBIs for a large portion of the month and is still in 4th place and he didn’t even get a Tops Now card. You guys never seem to show the Giants respect when they have earned it. Very disappointing.
-
You’re really complaining that they didn’t give a dude hitting .240 a Topps Now because he was 4th place in RBI? There’d be quite a few cards being added if that was the standard….
-
He wasn’t 4th at the end of April, he was 1st or 2nd. And yes, I am complaining. Pete Alonso gets a spotlight diamond after already having his regular card promoted to diamond, and same with Corbin. Give some love to the average players who play out of their minds for large stretches. Stop sucking up to the players who already have great cards.
-
Flores has definitely fallen off after his hot start and plus he's not an everyday player like Alonso is
-
It's also a sham that Webb didn't go diamond with the roster update.
-
Flores batted .223 and 4 homers for the month of April. Not really Worth a card in my opinion for the month of April only for RBIs
-
RBI … after pitcher wins probably the most useless stat to judge anything of
-
@YOSHI24_XBL You literally can’t win without scoring runs.
-
But Marte gets a spotlight for leading the Reds in RBIs in April with 16. Wow.

Runs scored is different from RBI … and RBI does not say anything about how good a hitter is. Nobody in the business give the stat any value, because the hitter has no influence on what the people in front of him in the batting order do

... "while posting a 135 wRC+ in April".
That's good for 44th in MLB. Guess where Flores's 78 wRC+ ranks. 133rd.

Between all the DQs there is 8 or so moments with score a run or get an RBI , you have a man on 3rd and 3 outs to do it, I have done it every time maybe 200 times doing it , I can count on both hands the amount of times I've gotten a hit to do it.
RBIs are good to measure value to a team or chances to win games, but are terrible at rating how good a batter is . -

Which is why he got a +12 to his clutch attribute and part of the reason he got plus 3 overall and upgraded to a Silver from a bronze.
Sorry that you got you hopes up.
-
@YOSHI24_XBL Have you heard of the Clutch rating? What do you think that is? lol
Do RBI hold as much weight as in the past no. But to say no one gives them weight is ludicrous. They have plenty of value in the industry.
-
@trfatboy22_PSN the play by play guys? Yes. The scouts and FO personnel? No.
-
@yankblan_PSN Imagine being so blatantly and confidently wrong lmao. But hey good for you I guess.
-
@trfatboy22_PSN google « irony »
-
@yankblan_PSN Nah I'm good, I'll let you believe what you want. But I'm not the one who is wrong here.
-
@trfatboy22_PSN back to you
-
@yankblan_PSN I’ve seen plenty of times where a team gets the bases loaded with no outs and doesn’t score, because nobody could get the RBI. Saying RBI’s have no value is the same as you telling me you don’t really watch baseball. You can get on base all you want, but if you don’t have someone who is able to get the runners home, you will lose every game.
