What is up with pitching?!?!

Analog is the only pitching method you can play with in RS right now.

yeah it doesn't make sense. like missing late on a low pitch should result in the pitch being lower but instead its leaving it higher in the zone. a low outside slider shouldn't hang in the middle if you miss late.

It's crazy. I overlook a lot of mishaps in this game , as I know we all do, but its getting beyond annoying. Now I read that I need a gaming monitor to be competetive
Well, I have a monitor and I can’t hit the ball this year either. I wouldn’t worry about it.
Glad to hear I’m not the only one. This game is just not fun at this point. Hitting, pitching and fielding all have some serious issues.

I’m not a good pitcher to begin with, but it makes me so mad when I throw a CH/CB well below the zone intentionally with good feedback and it hangs low/middle for a bomb

Or when you paint corners, hit it perfect and its a hanging breaker.

Yeah man. It's just not enjoyable

Pitching has been broken since The Show 18. Prior to that, it was nearly perfect tbh. You hit your analog perfectly, the ball went where you wanted it to go. If you were early, it hung a little bit. If you pushed the stick too far to the right, the pitch would end up to the right of where you put it.
I'm 100% sure the reason they changed it was to take the skill out of the game. Especially now with all the intentionally random results, its really telling when you look back on it

It’s to cater to directional hitters I’m convinced

Agreed. It used to be you could err on the side of caution and be early to make sure to get your pitch up, or late to make sure you would not hang it.
Not anymore.

I saw a tweet from one of the players in the MLB players league and he said something about pitch trail? Is pitch trail working better than the other methods.

Pitch trail is just the visual. It shouldn't have any impact on performance.
I know a lot of the best players use analog pitching (frankly, I hate it...I still use meter) and even perfect releases get grooved far too often or somehow a slight miss takes that low/in slider and misses outside. Its like a foot and a half difference for the slightest miss.
